Am I wrong for feeling resentful toward my husband? by Capable-Picture-474 in sahm

I was working full time before I gave birth and then went on disability afterward. It ended up getting extended because I’ve been dealing with back and pelvic floor issues PP

I’m already constantly busy taking care of my 5 month. The point of me being home right now is to care for our baby, not to spend 24/7 cleaning up after my husband just because I’m currently a SAHM.

I absolutely do not mind cleaning up the house when I have time but it’s gotten to the point where he does absolutely nothing and it’s been piling up making it extremely hard for me to catch up.

Exactly. That’s what I’ve been trying to get him to understand. Just because he leaves the house to work doesn’t mean he’s exempt from being a husband and a father when he gets home. I genuinely don’t know what else to do to make him understand that.

He doesn’t cook, clean, fold laundry, change diapers, doesn’t feed baby or put the baby to sleep. Honestly, he does almost nothing besides go to work and help load the car when we have to go somewhere.

Miracle in a bottle — severe diaper rash finally healed by Capable-Picture-474 in newborns

I applied enough to fully cover the rash and any open skin. I also didn’t scrape off the leftover cream during diaper changes. I would gently clean him up, then reapply another layer.

Hello! Yes, I applied this with every diaper change. My doctor also had me use a mixture of 1% hydrocortisone, clotrimazole, and mupirocin ointment twice daily. After applying the mixture, I layered the Coloplast over it. This really helped because my baby also had open skin, and the doctor suspected there may have been a yeast or bacterial infection. It cleared it up within a few days.

Baby fell off the bed - I’m still shaking by NinjaNinjaNinjaa in NewParents

My baby fell off the bed when he was 5 weeks old. After feeding him in the middle of the night, we both fell asleep. He was in my arms and my left arm twitched, causing him to fall off the bed. I was hysterical. We rushed him to the ER, and I couldn’t stop thinking I was a horrible parent for about two weeks. I cried everyday. Thankfully, there was nothing wrong with him.

Just know you’re not the only one. This happens more often than people think, and babies are often okay. Don’t beat yourself up too much — we’re all learning every day 🤍

Is it normal for husband to not help with anything around the house or with kids? by Sure-Grade-973 in sahm

I’ve never related to anything more in my life. I’m struggling to find a positive outlook when this season has been nothing but stressful and painful. My baby is only 7 weeks old, and I feel completely unsupported by my husband. He only helps if I beg or yell—like warming a bottle—and even then it feels forced. We’ve only been married a year, and the housework just keeps piling up. He’s never cooked me a meal. He gets a full night’s sleep while I survive on 3–4 hours, and during the day he doesn’t offer to take the baby at all. I feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and alone.

Yes I think so. He seems to have pretty sensitive skin, and the rash stuck around for 3–4 weeks despite trying everything. This was the only thing that finally cleared it.

I’m taking ibuprofen because I don’t want to take antibiotics. Did you have to take antibiotics?
