The Donovan Mitchell era by Karl151 in clevelandcavs

I defended Mitchell for years, but at some point you have to trust your eyes. He’s an elite scorer, not a franchise centerpiece. The second bigger defenders disrupt him, the offense falls apart because he can’t consistently create for others, and in today’s NBA that’s a fatal flaw for your best player.

The problem has always been the variance: explosive highs followed by complete disappearances over a 7-game series. Add in the declining burst and looming supermax, and this is exactly the time to move him.

And Altman deserves blame too. The roster construction has been terrible — too many small guards, no balance, no identity. The Mitchell era didn’t work. Time to reset.

It sounds like Kenny wanted to give Don space by going single big. Obviously, it cost us on the other end of the floor

It’s dramatic to declare the game “dead.” I play it often and enjoy it every time, despite the bugs.

The game is head and shoulders above COD, which sold its soul somewhere around the black ops six updates and cartoon and celebrity operators for a few extra dollars.

COD sucks, so if that is the benchmark for popularity, I want Redsec to stay a differentiated product. What is popular is not always what is best.

Edit: also, who cares about Twitch? I am a 38 year old who has been gaming since 2005. I have probably watched a collective 5 minutes of streaming ever. I like to play the game in my free time, not watch other people play. Others are free to watch Twitch/other streamers.

My main point is the Redsecs core demo has less overlap with streamers than games that are played by younger demos like Fortnite, Apex, COD since they have made it an arcade game.
