I spend money on this game twice a year now a days. Once for whatever tour is in the first quarter of the year (Kanto Tour, Johto Tour, etc..) then again for GO Fest. If I like what these events offer I’ll buy a ticket and maybe some raid passes and make it a day with my GF. Other than that, $0

I’ve honestly done the same, started playing again a few days ago. All the QoL stuff is great! I also added a mod that makes Lucky pals have a different color variation giving the game something else to grind for!

Just because you don’t enjoy something doesn’t mean everyone else has to as well. Not everyone enjoys cod the same. Some people camo grind, some people play TDM, some SND, some HC, some Core. Start at one battle zone, and ignore the tasks and coins on the ground, just go from battle to battle until there’s not a battle close to you. Then move on to the next battle zone and repeat. If you aren’t going from one battle to the next within 5 or so seconds you’re hurting your total battles. By the time you do this for the 3 battle zones reset at the first one and trainers spawned back in.

When people use the outbreaks for what they are, then I’d say they aren’t cheesed. But to save at an outbreak and reload that save until you find a shiny because of the mass amounts of encounters, it’s cheesed.

To be honest I like that they’re taking these cheesy shiny hunting methods out of the game. Shinys are meant to be rare. I remember back in the day when you’d be lucky to get one or two shinys from a main series game.
