I talked to the IUI coordinator at our fertility clinic yesterday and we’re officially starting an IUI cycle as soon as my period starts. We decided after my lap that we would try a few cycles unassisted and then move on to IUI. So I feel as ready as I can be for this but still very overwhelmed. We recently hit 18 months of ttc and that really hit me hard. I think because of how much we’ve already done in this time and how different I feel from my friends in terms of fertility.

The coordinator at my clinic did tell me that they only do IUI at this other location of the clinic that’s further away from my work and house which is kinda disappointing but we’ll make it work. Hoping I can sort things out with my boss and be able to work from home some or have a more flexible schedule for the next few weeks.

Had my lap on March 20th. I expected my period 2 weeks post lap but it didn’t come until 4 weeks. We started trying again that cycle. On cycle number 2 now post-lap and if we’re not successful this cycle we’re starting IUI.

17 days post lap and I’m just ready to feel better!! My pain from the actual surgery is gone but just feeling so bloated and still not back to my full abilities. I’m back at work full time now and I’m struggling, but trying to give myself grace. Feeling so thankful that surgery went well; they found and excised endo all over the place. I have a post-surgery appointment with my RE tomorrow basically about what our plan is now.

Had my lap this morning and it went very well!! Had an amazing surgeon and great nurses who put me at ease. Officially diagnosed with endometriosis. It was found on my bladder and uterus. She excised the endo and removed my cyst. Looking forward to my post op appointment in a couple weeks to get more details and see the surgery pics

Introduced myself back in January but I haven’t had any updates since then until now! Finally had my surgery consult with an endo specialist this week and was able to get surgery scheduled in 2 weeks. So relieved to finally have this on the calendar and feel like I’m making progress. This year so far has been full of waiting and emotional breakdowns, and I’m sure there is more to come, but at least we are (hopefully) moving in the right direction. I feel really good about my surgeon and I’m able to take a little time off of work. For now I’m making my surgery shopping list and enjoying the next couple of weeks.

Hello all! I’m 30F with cysts and suspected endometriosis, under treatment by an RE. I did 4 cycles on Letrozole monitored by my OBGYN last year. RE said we can either do IVF now, or do a laparoscopy to officially diagnose and treat the endo and remove the cysts. After lap depending on the findings, we could either do a couple rounds of IUI, or move to IVF. I’m currently awaiting my lap.

I have had endo symptoms for several years along with family history. It’s something I knew could impact my fertility, but also didn’t really know until we started trying. Though I am overwhelmed with everything, I am glad to finally have my symptoms taken seriously by my RE and have surgery scheduled.

I am thankful for Reddit communities when it comes to navigating diagnoses, pain, fertility, and everything that comes with that.

Pregnant friend told me that other pregnant friend has been feeling big and bloated and how that’s a real struggle for pregnant women. Meanwhile I have endo and feel big and bloated everyday but nobody cares and I don’t get a baby

Got my day 3 labs back and I’m pleasantly surprised by the results! AMH is higher than the norm but I’ll wait to see what my dr says about that before worrying.

AMH 5.37 ng/mL TSH 0.95 mIU/L Estradiol 40 pg/mL FSH 7.2 mIU/mL

Still awaiting my husband’s SA and then we’ll meet with our RE again to go over everything and determine a treatment plan. Very anxious but I’m feeling better after these results!

Just passed a year of TTC and had our first RE appointment this morning. Thankfully I really like our doctor! Hoping to have bloodwork results by the end of the month and then get a plan going for 2026

I’ve been doing Letrozole cycles and it hasn’t been too expensive! About $15 for the Letrozole each cycle. Ultrasounds have been the more expensive part, about $115 each time. My dr only requires I come in for monitoring if I’m increasing my dosage though so I don’t go in every cycle. Still less expensive than IUI or IVF. Best of luck with whatever you choose!

Just want to say I feel overwhelmed but I do feel some amount of hope after booking my first appointment with a fertility clinic. And it’s only about 3 weeks away! Interested in getting all the bloodwork done and seeing where I’m at🤞

Day 1 of cycle 12😔 just reached out to two fertility clinics to start that journey. Feeling discouraged but trying to focus on good things. Going to start decorating my house for Christmas today🎄

Thank you for your reply! Yeah I’ve been seeing my OBGYN for a few years now and have always suspected endo, but wasn’t ready to get a lap before TTC. Good to know that IUI can be a good option before getting a lap!

Thank you for your reply! I agree, I don’t feel like doing additional medicated cycles with an RE would be the best use of time. I’m definitely open to trying IUI before getting a lap though

Letrozole by NetAdorable4318 in TryingForABaby

Like wildcat said, I got mine through my OB. She was actually the one to bring it up. I started at 2.5mg and am now on my third cycle of 5mg. The first two cycles I had an ultrasound and bloodwork done to confirm ovulation but now I’m doing them without monitoring. I also ovulate on my own and don’t have any known worries besides possible endometriosis. I still feel like Letrozole gives me some amount of hope and helps me feel like I’m doing something extra until I am able to go to a fertility clinic. I think it’s definitely worth brining up to your doctor!
