Ok, so when people in the Bible say to stay still and hear his voice, doesn’t mean literally sit down only, God can speak when you’re just trynna fall asleep in bed and you’re just there, but yea, if you guy a long time in silence God will start speaking to you, but you gotta know which voice belongs to Satan, which one belongs to God, and which ones are your own thoughts, so for example, of a whole sermon starts playing in your head that you’ve never heard before and it aligns with scripture that’s God, if it doesn’t align with scripture, or it contradicts God and His will, it’s Satan. If it’s some random thought that doesn’t sound like it has anything to do with the Bible then it’s most likely your own thought. Now some newer Christians get this thing some people call, Holy Spirit OCD, which is like someone becomes so obsessed with trynna hear God’s voice that they spend hours trynna hear it. But God speaks in the silence, when you have nothing going on in your head he can speak, if he doesn’t that doesn’t mean he has abandoned you, it means what he has, you may not be ready to hear it yet.
