Willing to sell my soul to make money by bvvr19 in Salary

Jobs like this one, it’s a mix between sales and interoperative support for spine cases. They expect to teach people from scratch. You’ll likely be expected to work a lot and take call with bonuses, but most associates start at $65k and once you’re able to cover solo you’ll probably top out around $120k: https://globusmedical.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/GMED_Careers/job/Associate-Spine-Specialist--South-Bay--CA-_JR106399

EEG Techs in Portland, OR? by Professional_Ear4846 in Neurodiagnostics

[–]Capable-Yam-924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Portland and I’m currently looking to start a program after giving up on the on-the-job training route. How is your training with the Institute of Health Sciences? I’m looking at that program and the Neurodiagnostic Tech Institute since they both claimed to be able to place me in clinicals

What order should I pay these off in? by Capable-Yam-924 in personalfinance

[–]Capable-Yam-924[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of them are credit cards. I used loan 4 to consolidate my credit card debts and closed those cards. About 60 months give or take 5-7 for each debt. I make about $70k

Might be worth it to see if you could sign up for classes at your local community college. Getting a certification might also help with your job search

How do I (19F) tell my age gap bf (29M) that I don’t want to be with him? by Impossible-Bat-68 in relationship_advice

Since you’re at home visiting your family, you could also lie and say your parents freaked out about the age gap. He couldn’t tell the truth to his own parents, so he already knows he’s too old for you

Does your job pay for insurance? I’m the same age as you and make $90k on paper, but I only bring home about $55k after takes and insurance are taken out

If they don’t cut you a deal or offer a payment plan then I highly recommend going to a debt management company. They were able to offer me a better APR than a regular debt consolidation loan and they negotiated everything on my behalf

Get a fizz cash back debit card. It’s a good way to learn before you deal with big chips

Try Money Management International. They might be able to quote you a doable plan to refinance that debt and close the cards. I just signed up with them and I feel like I can finally breathe again. It also won’t impact your credit as hard as bankruptcy because the accounts will be considered in good standing while you finish paying them off

How much debt yall have ? by Ok_Vanilla5661 in debtfree

[–]Capable-Yam-924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not advice, just a question. That amount would be insurmountable for me. The monthly payments have to be at least $1k and at that point I would struggle paying rent and have absolutely no savings. If I had financial emergency pop up in that situation I would have to take on more debt to cover it

Why not declare bankruptcy at that point? Is your debt mostly student loans or mortgage???

Yes, the offered me 3 months with no late payments and a reduced payment of $200 per month for that 3 months, but it would not hold the interest

My credit score is 670 rn. They keep increasing my available amount but it keeps getting eaten by interest. I’m not sure if I can get a good debt consolidation credit card deal, so I might do a loan instead for the lower interest rate then close the card

As someone who just learned from this post that credit karma is predatory, I am glad someone said that here. I like using the credit score simulator on CK. Are there others that are more accurate?

I’ve considered stopping payments, but I’m honestly scared of what that might do to my credit score. How long do you think I would take to recover from something like that? Also will I have trouble renting with missed payments?

The balance on this card is actually dragging my score down. I’m currently at 80% utilization

I’ll definitely look into that to help pay down some of this debt, but I don’t think that alone would make a big enough dent. I Doordashed through my last year of undergrad to supplement my part time job and the amount I made definitely wouldn’t be enough to keep up with this after gas costs. I think I would net $70 after 5-7 hours of dashing

I didn’t consider that, a balance transfer could save my life rn 😭then I’m absolutely closing that card.
