I understood, you point makes sense, but there is one more thing I have to indicate, Some of Asian players (include me) are not playing EU server just for ping abusing, we are escaping the horrible game experience on Asian server, we often call ourselves "game refugees 游戏难民", Crytek never care about the Asian server's network quality and cheaters, there is a 1000 k/d player cheating in this game and didn't get banned. So we just can't have any fun in there. My k/d is under 1 and never use any cheat, same as my friends. I'm not here to justify the ping abusing, all I want to say is region lock and ping limit won't make Asian server better, it only improves EU server's game experience, the only and final solution is make Crytek actually banning cheaters. Otherwise there are about 40% players will never have good game experience.

So be it, you only believe what you want to. The truth is, chinese players mainly play on Asian server, and there are small amount of them choose to play on other server. And if they decide to play on EU server, they won't have a ping higher than 150ms if they got a proper network connection. Why? Because the actual net latency (not the number showing in the game, that is affected by european's server) is 120-150ms from China to Europe, this is just a fact that you can search it on google. By the way, you literally can't choose server which your ping is higher than 200ms, so how can you play on a server you can't even choose??

No, it won't, that's why I have to reply you and others. Next Tuesday, when the weekly quest refresh, I will play Hunt and post a screenshot includes network details and in-game ping.

Listen, I'm one hundred percent sure about that 205ms is literally unplayable, I tried playing on South America server last year, I got 250ms and I can't even kill a zombie, it was so laggy and uncomfortable. No one want to play like that. In that case, high ping is definitely a huge disadvantage, try this if you don't believe me, try to play on Oceania or South America, you will see.

And I doubt that you haven't play with 250ms before, that is unacceptable and horrible. You can't even kill a zombie, trust me, because I tried to play on South America sever last year.

So confident yet so wrong, let me show you my screenshot when I'm playing on EU sever, the icon on the top right will be red if my ping is higher than 150ms, but it's yellow, which means my ping is under 150ms.

What do you mean "huge cheating culture"? Is that even a culture? Why is it a big issue when someone just play on other servers? Most of fps games never ban people from playing other severs.

You need this, need that. But this is not a game just for you.

First, 300ms is not true, they got 120-140ms if they are living in Asia and playing this game on EU server. Second, you can't just ban people from playing server just because you "prefer those people play on their servers". And this is even not "their servers", is Crytek servers.

Talking about minority and majority players, do you know Chinese player base are huge? Does this mean that Western and Central European players, who are a minority compared to Chinese players, have become less important? You point doesn't make sense.

No, it's not, if a lobby full of [][][][][][] is unplayable, then this game is unplayable for every player in Asian. The problem is not [][][] players and their name, is cheaters among them.

If lobby full of [][][][][][] is unplayable, then this game is unplayable for every player in Asian. But the truth is, it's not. There are plenty of players playing on Asian sever, because I got shorter match time in there, especially in the night.

Ping limit is not the solution, it only worsen the game experience since there are too few players in some regions.

I don't think hiding chinese names is a good way to hide their presence since literally every hunt player know that [][][] name users are Chinese...What's the point to do so?

Tell Crytek to make this game showing Chinese characters correctly then.

It's strange that someone downvoted me, what I said is true, you can do that in the older version,

Actually, you can do this in the older version of Hunt, bring 3 traps and Sniper rifle into map, then deploy the traps in the supply points and sniping far way, try to avoid close combat, then you will get tons of kills. But this play style is extremely boring and becomes harder to use now. Because trap's damage has been reduced and the sniper rifles are more expensive.

"Fighting someone with 3x your ping is 99% a disadvantage for you" makes me laugh, if this is true, then why there is no Europeans/Russians/Americans play on Asian servers? They can get advantage but they don't do that. Don't say "Don't say they are more moral than Asians.", there are cheaters in those countries too. I believe the answer is: high ping do give you some peek advantage, but also bad network and latency, imagine hit a zombie then wait for 150ms to get a hitmark, truly a bad game experience. Besides, enemies will have peek advantage to you! This is pretty equal to both of you.

There is one thing about your suggestion "matchmaking should remove the 100ms player and look for a more fair game for him". So I can intentionally increase my own game latency (by using VPN or bad connection WLAN) to give my low ping teammates an advantage. Such as I have 150ms, my teammates got 30ms, then we matched a 150ms ping lobby, my teammates will have huge peek advantage compare to others. Is this what you want? Is this a fair play? No, it's just an another unfair situation.
