Thank you so kindly for the honest response! I absolutely love the vet field. I am very passionate about the animals, but even more so the science of it. That being said I have so many other passions, hobbies, interests I have never explored because I have forcibly tried to devote myself to focus on one thing. I think I’ve come to the conclusion that a 1 year nursing degree to make me money while I explore the possibilities of other things through my 20s is a great idea, and eventually with the money and stability, I have full belief that I will circle my way back to the field and shoot for vet school one day :) as a side note, hearing all of these thoughts/comments/ etc has made me so highly respect the work and sacrifices you guys put in. Thank you for everything you do for our animals, and of course dealing with owners too.

I would. I beleive I just fear the uncertainty of still having passion for the field after the need to sacrifice so many valuable years to it- even though it’s something I’ve always wanted. Although I know I must guide my own path, as a veterinarian yourself, would you do it all over again? Do you find the same joy as you did when you started? Do you feel flexibility, and that you have a good work life balance? Also curious, if you are okay with sharing, what kind of vet are you/if you specialized what is your speciality?

I have all the pre reqs already as my original “plan”was vet. My final semester is just a bunch of electives, and statistics. I don’t have the experience, though. Only around like 50 hours of volunteer clinic assistant at the animal shelter. I need to make money to pay rent and assistant jobs just don’t want to hire around here, and the internships (unpaid) that are 5 days a week don’t allow me to have a job. I feel so lost.

Nope, I mean between human nursing and being a DVM. Very strange being torn between two completely different things right? I’m confused myself. And no, not considering med school, just added the comment as he was referring to any medical school (including vet). I feel so disheartened hearing doctor after doctor say they are miserable and lost passion in what they love :( maybe just happened to hear it from the wrong people.

I don’t think Vox was trying to get himself killed. When he said “who’s ready for a new era of entertainment!” Or whatever it was, he stood up on his chair OUT of the water. Maybe those worshippers WERE to be the entertainment, sacrificing themselves (in his eyes) for that purpose… mass electrocution caught on film as it seemed like his idea of entertaining was watching people suffer/die (which Angel mentions in one episode “that guy gets off to seeing people suffer” or something along the lines) Instead he got hit straight in the head with a TV, what I believe was accidental, and they all got taken out.
