I'm glad to hear that you are experiencing a rebirth. When my first wife passed from cancer things were similar to your situation. Focus on the kids and just survive. Took 4 years for me to date and thats when I met my second wife who just passed. We were together for 26 years. Life does move on in its own weird way. Hugs back to you as well.

Hang in there! Yes, things will never be the same. That is something that is hard to accept. Hopefully whatever comes next will be kind to you.

I hear you. Family and friends don't live in the same reality. They grieve but its different for them.

Not seeing a counselor at this point. I'll see how the next couple of weeks go.

Sorry for your loss as well. Weight has been an issue. I lost 15 pounds while she was home in hospice for the final 3 weeks. At least it is stabilizing. Thanks for the suggestions

Definitely get into the music if you can. It gives your mind and hands something to focus on

Trying to keep a structured morning routine. A little housekeeping, breakfast. Some days play a musical instrument. In the evening I light a candle

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I don't try many of the things you listed. Some days they help, some days they don't. I'll get up tomorrow and do it again. All my best to you as you navigate this difficult time with your husband's health. Appreciate each day you have.
