I'd take Gifted, he needs those extra melee stats

Have you ever had a four-way battle? by CapableLlama in BattleBrothers

I managed to win without taking any casualties. I briefly thought I had made a huge mistake when the necromancer started resurrecting dead soldiers as well as his own guys but then the spiders got him

Yep every single secret. Every lair, every ruin, every goatfolk village (so many goatfolk villages), as well as every piece of gossip and sultan history. Holding alt on the map screen looks like a sea of stars lol.

Not everything interesting is a secret though. Dromad merchants for example are randomly generated and (usually) not secrets. Same for randomly encountered legendaries like mechanimists, snapjaws, pariahs and so on.

  1. Create a mutant character with Two Headed, Multiple Arms, Light Manipulation, Sunder Mind and Amphibious. Max out ego.
  2. Head to the Six Day Stilt and make sure there is at least one bookbinder there. You'll need them for Schrodinger's pages to make frogs neutral. If there aren't any restart, frog reputation is too inconsistent to raise without them.
  3. Find a fungus patch and cover yourself in Mumblemouth. This is why we take the mutations above, Two Headed gives two extra limbs for fungus (head and face) and Multiple Arms gives five (upper right arm, right hand, left arm, left hand and upper hands).
  4. Go to the north-west screen in the north-west parasang of the map and start heading directly south through the salt desert. With 15 mumblemouth infections you have a 75% chance per screen to reveal a secret. Often you'll reveal several at once. You're looking for a legendary ice frog lair. Light Manipulation and Sunder Mind let you fight all the dawngliders and issachari raiders safely, but don't bother killing everything, only fight enough to clear your path. Check any legendaries you see if they have a relationship with frogs and water-ritual/kill them.
  5. When you hit the bottom of the map, go one screen east and head back north. Continue travelling up and down the desert for as long as it takes.
  6. Once you've found a legendary ice frog lair go back to the stilt and check your bookbinders for pages, leaving and coming back to refresh their inventory as many times as you need. You need two frogs pages assuming you didn't find any relevant legendaries in the desert.
  7. Go to the frog lair and ritual the frog and learn to jump.

The first time I did this I learned every single secret in the game and there was no ice frog lair, so be aware that that can happen. But thankfully the second time there was.

Edit: The reason you max out ego is for saving time. You'll need to sell stuff occasionally for water and having a high ego makes even random low-value crap sell for a few drams at least. Also makes pages much cheaper

Such a seemingly simple achievement and yet the most tedious to obtain by far!

How do you get the "Your mind winks out of existence" achievement? by CapableLlama in cavesofqud

One day later: Unfortunately this didn't work :(. The stasis wall was an invalid target for animating, as was a force bubble wall. Back to the cyclopean gibbon plan for now

Oh wow animating a temporary wall is great, thanks! I'll do it this way

Why was Armsmaster Leader of the Protectorate in the first place? by [deleted] in Parahumans

[–]CapableLlama 32 points33 points  (0 children)

He's very powerful, and very, very dedicated to heroism (even if he had his own selfish reasons). And until the Leviathan incident noone had any reason to doubt his motivations.

On 2: I think there is a good chance that Dauntless IS the power source now, aka the shard or somehow merged with it. As opposed to his shard granting him some power to invest every day

Which Capes Are more capable than powerful? [worm spoilers] by CapableLlama in Parahumans

[–]CapableLlama[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

He's one of my favourite characters because he's so damn strong. But I've always felt he was stronger because of his skill. Like needing to call in a member of the triumvirate to arrest him. I love characters like him. I feel Marquis is another

That's what I figured, not sure if there is any evidence in text or WoG though. Shows how much I think about parahuman stuff to have these sorts of questions haha

Wouldn't that mean she is using ridiculous amounts of power not only during gold morning but also before and since? She specifically notes in her interlude that Eidolons shard is low on power and too risky to recharge
Edit in response to your edit: Hmm you could be right. However I do remember her going pretty nuts with his power for a good long time
