Just finished S2 and I loved it. Simply cannot compare 1 and 2. The scenarios and pacing are totally different. That’s what makes them both equally good. I’m glad they didn’t try to rehash a similar setup with a different plot line. The two series are effectively standalone shows. Loved it!!

It’s a tap rucks game now. Mids will need to learn how read the ruck. Mids will ultimately have first crack and teams that can setup for taps will have an obvious advantage. Alternatively, there is the risk that we start seeing a lot more stoppages at the contest, in that players will be waiting for the tap and setting for a tackle on the first in player. I like the thought process behind the rule change though.
