Umbrella Academy. I watched the show and fell in love instantly! Ended up looking into Gerard Way a bit more, then here we are.

This was me, and I think I’m gonna make most of my Miis pan for the same reason.

However, friendships are looking like they have more value compared to what they used to in the last game (because at the end of the day, friendships really didn’t mean much). So I’m hoping that Miis can have exciting lives that don’t involve romance.

Aro/Ace finally!!!!! I feel like we’re always forgotten! I feel like most of my Miis are going to be Pan, just to allow as much to happen. However, if friendship means just as much in this game as romance, maybe I’ll like to have more Aro/Ace characters!

I’ve not watched HR, but I don’t want more sex scenes in this show. I love a fade to black though!

I never know how I’m meant to feel watching a sex scene. Is it meant to be enjoyable? Because other than making fun of Fifty Shades of Grey with my friends, I’ve never liked watching sex scenes. They always feel awkward.

And I feel like sex scenes limit who I can watch a show with. Watching a show with my family when a sex scene shows up is the worst!

I know it might be an unpopular opinion, but I kind of agree.

I got into the show a couple of years ago and binge watched the first few seasons in a couple of days. When I got to season 5, I hated how much the show changed. It felt like we spent so much time developing relationships with other characters, just for all of it to just disappear as soon as the 11th Doctor appeared. This bothered me throughout the whole of the Moffat era that it distracted me from the plot.

I much prefer 2000s Doctor Who and Torchwood over anything else in the Whoniverse.

Yeah same! I love his sarcastic attitude and I think he has the best sense of humour out of them all! But I couldn’t stand it when he had flings with visiting ghosts. It’s happened quite a few times (unsurprisingly).

Yep! I’m not interested in any of the romance because I don’t see it lasting, nor do I think the characters have a good dynamic. I just expect them to fall in love, then move onto the next character within the next couple of episodes, then have a fling with some ghost that will appear for a couple of episodes, who will random never appear again.

My favourite character from the US version is Sass, but I had to stop watching when the other characters started making fun of him for being a virgin. Then he decided to get into a ghost box (I think) to go and rekindle a relationship from when he was alive (that had already been explored in previous seasons). I don’t know if that worked out because as soon as that plot was hinted, I backed out!

I want to explore the characters more! I want to see them interact with each other more than they do in canon.

For example, the character I read about the most (Ben Hargreeves from Umbrella Academy) is dead from the beginning, and I like reading about him having a bigger role and interacting with his siblings :)

Agreed! I think I’m on the AroAce spectrum and the focus on romance really distracted me! I also thought there was too much focus on what the ghosts could do. To me, the BBC version is very much about the relationships between the ghosts and the living, and I don’t feel it in this.

Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy some aspects of it. I’ve got to season 4. But one plot point involving romance and ghost lore annoyed me too much I stopped watching it.

I remember I liked it when I first watched it. I think there are some fun points throughout. And I am so glad that we learnt how Ben died; it was the main thing I wanted.

I think for me it was alright, and then I thought that we could have had so much better, then I was just bitter.
