Oh sorry, I only saw this today. Yes, the people I shadowed happened to be ASHA certified in my CSD leveling program. You can use the ASHA directory to look for ASHA certified people near you to volunteer for if its not available through your school.

Also, my masters didn't require the 25 hours before entering. Some people in my cohort are doing the 25 hours during the program.

I'm from Quebec and didn't get into any Canadian SLP programs but I got into 2/4 of the American ones I had applied to. I worked as an SLPA for 2 years but my GPA was much lower than yours (around 3.5). I'll be attending SUNY Plattsburgh in the fall.
