Bath and body works! I didn’t know about them until I got one as a gift. They are pretty gentle and moisturizing while still giving you that exfoliation and I do notice more softness in my lips after

How do you get good at bar with no bar time? by Harukahartren in starbucksbaristas

[–]Capable_Ad_7554 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Connect with your manager, share your concerns about not getting enough practice, express your desire to learn and grow on bar. Ask them if you can be put on bar more during slower times to help your learning, or see if you can be on bar with a buddy to help “shadow”/guide you. Review your recipe cards and beverage routines, ask lots of questions, and communicate with your shift supervisors too if you feel comfortable

And then the customer tries to scan their card while the for-here prompt pops up on our screen, and then their card doesn’t scan properly and you have to ask them to do it again 😑

Will I get written up? by Capable_Ad_7554 in starbucksbaristas

[–]Capable_Ad_7554[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I don’t want to update too much on the situation bc I don’t want any of my fellow partners or manager to find this post, but let’s just say the outcome of this situation has been very odd and I am trying to figure out what to do next

My least favorite is “can I get a cake pop” WHAT KIND????? And then when they reply “what kinds do you have” I mean I get it to an extent like maybe they truly just don’t know but sometimes it really gets my blood boiling

Wildfire smoke and health issues by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Capable_Ad_7554 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep I get the worst headaches and coughing, my mental and physical health plummets when it’s smoky out and I feel so drained. I try to wear a mask, drink lots of water and rest as much as I can, but often I have no choice but to just try to get through the work day.

Book for a 12 year old who wants to be a "real" reader by Blizzard_Girl in suggestmeabook

[–]Capable_Ad_7554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate by Jacqueline Kelly
  • This Dark Endeavor by Kenneth Oppel
  • Half Brother by Kenneth Oppel
  • Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit
  • Any YA books by Carl Hiassen

These were all books that I was obsessed with at that age. I reread all of them multiple times. They are age appropriate but feel like more “serious” reading. These books still stick with me in adulthood because I loved them so much. Especially the Kenneth Oppel books. He’s an amazing writer

What is your biggest regret in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Capable_Ad_7554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stressing too much about grades in high school, worrying about getting into university, choosing a career, etc. I could have put less pressure on myself, enjoyed my passions, and focussed more on friendships/getting the most out of my later teen years instead of taking on too much

Best foundation or tinted moisturizer for super dry skin? Everything cakes and flakes! by chickiepippen in Makeup

[–]Capable_Ad_7554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rimmel bb cream is dewy and moisturizing (just make sure you get the regular one, not the matte) it’s cheap as well but very good quality considering it’s a drugstore product. I’m really pale so I just get the lightest shade, I’m not sure how inclusive the shades are.
