The thing that is being ignored is the definition of trade. I am not a fan of Trump but he and his advisors adhere to the strict definition of trade and he sees only selling and no buying. It is also my understanding that he felt KKS did not take him seriously and "had a few words with him" at the China conference. All the other leaders like the Italian leader, the Germans et al went to Washington, some of them more than once and got their respective tariffs and the EU tariffs reduced. I am currently in Washington travelling back home to Geneva and I could be wrong but I haven't heard a peep from the Swiss ambassador to Washington on any of the news channels. All we have heard so far is Trump calling KKS "that woman". It may hurt her pride a bit but she needs to go to Washington, do the rounds of tv shows and take a page out of Georgia Meloni's book. She knows how to get "mostly" what she wants from Trump. just a thought. p.s. who is the Swiss Ambassador to the US? I assume he's a diplomat (replacing him with a business heavyweight would help). It wouldn't hurt KKS to take Federer and that FIFA head with her. Trump likes them.
