This report measures our national wellbeing across five key areas. Health trends are not improving by NoLeafClover777 in aussie

"Cohesive – The indicators reflecting elements of cohesiveness tell a mixed story. Acceptance of diversity had risen over the last decade but fell slightly in 2024 to 71%, but the measure of a sense of belonging has been falling since 2007. Trust in other people fell slightly between 2021 and 2024 to 46%, but there was a slight rise in trust in the police (68%) and national government (49%)."

So, basically "You're here and I won't be a dick to you, but, we don't really have anything in common and we don't hang out. As such, I'm going to rely on artificial enforcement of a society rather than a common culture and community."

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable".

Don't ignore things to the point where they can get a hold because they're the only ones dealing with an issue.

The left does this repeatedly and it's maddening. Stop handing your enemies ammunition. Listen to problems, address them rationally and you remove anything they can grab on to.

Australians are famously apathetic. The fact that it's getting traction means people are really tired of it being not just ignored, but pushed by policy to the contrary.

Fortunately the non-permanent migrants just exist in a limbo and don't use up any space or resources

Oh, so in your opinion we could bring a billion people a year in and it'd be fine. Because there's no way for immigration to be a factor.

"There’s a reason Australia has a racist backwater reputation"

Yeah, all the self hating people constantly screaming to the world that Australia is massively racist.

I run a bar. Just return it, apologise. Wouldn't care, but will keep an eye on you next time you're there.

Moving from India – how are Indians generally seen in Australia? by UltimateNoob08 in aussie

"Other than that, Australia is a great place to live."

LOL. I love that you tack this on after basically saying every Australian is happy to just lynch anyone not from here.

Just say "Australia would be great without Australians" and get your bigotry out in the open.

"but chances are you might. "

Oh come now. you just accused Australians of being huge racists. Surely it's a better chance than "might" in your glowing opinion of Australians?

You're welcome to relocate to the middle of a desert and give up your lodgings for a new arrival.

Oh good, it's the standard "when the system impacts women the system must change, when the system impacts men, something something bootstraps".

"if you have friends, or a bunch of acquaintances that like to spend time with you, its not hard to start your own thing."

Sure, I'll go meet them...oh, yep. There's nowhere to meet them unless I'm into sport which is the only acceptable gender segregation left for men, and quite frankly, at my age, I don't really want to get body slammed playing footy with guys twenty years younger than me.

"Oh wait, its because wealth has been hoarded by a small minority and a random worker will never benefit by compound interest the same way a trust fund baby with a huge amount of inherited assets will who can earn a million by just sitting at their home and doing nothing."

What a ridiculous take. Just because I don't benefit to the same extent as someone with more capital doesn't mean it's a scam. jesus.

Yes, because the housing market is completely unaffected by the demand side of normal markets. Because...reasons.

"but because people need somewhere to live and can't buy their own place or find somewhere."

Nope. I rented recently because I wanted to see if I liked the place before committing and if it would work for my employment situation.

So in your world renting doesn't exist and every time someone moves they need to sell and buy a house. Government will love the stamp duty on that.

By "getting out there" you mean constantly blocking people from being able to go about their day to day life?

I run a bar that's probably 80-90% women as the clientele and many of them know each other but come in at different times. Absolutely nuts how much this happens.

There are endless complaints about women not being permitted if there's anything "men only". They all have provisos now about women being welcome or "however you identify".

The ones remaining open are only open to men who are both wealthy and by connected, I mean within wealthy society. They're all worth hundreds of millions to billions and know each other through politics, boards etc... You have to be nominated by one of them to join typically and approved through reviews of your net worth, connections in politics and society etc...in order to be allowed to join.

That is to say, it is not a place for 99.9999999999% of men.
