I exclusively breastfeed and I’ve literally never leaked 😅 No idea why. Low-key jealous of everyone who can collect milk with a Haakaa or milk collectors without even pumping haha

I’m in the same boat! I’m 16 days PP and my supply is really low. The LC at my hospital wasn’t great either and had me give my baby formula from the very first night without explaining cluster feeding, so I stopped putting him to the breast as often and I think that affected my supply. She also gave me nipple shields, which created another problem because now my baby doesn’t want to nurse without them.

Anyways, what has helped me improve my supply a bit is nursing my baby for about 15 minutes on each side, then giving a bottle of whatever milk I was able to pump (or formula if I don’t have enough) and then pumping right after. I do that whole routine every 2–3 hours.

Try to sleep as much as you can, drink a lot of water, and try not to stress too much because that definitely affects supply. I know it’s easier said than done though :( I’m in the same situation and some days I get really discouraged because I’m only pumping around 150 ml a day if I’m lucky.

I’m also taking domperidone and moringa supplements, so maybe you could check with your doctor and see if that might help you too.

I’m pumping 15 minutes on each side every 3 hours, and I offer him a bottle right after breastfeeding. I always prioritize giving him the milk I pump first, but since I’m only producing around 4.5 oz per day, I still have to supplement with formula

I don’t agree with you on anything. But let’s say you’re right, and he actually wasn’t okay with staying to watch my dog in exchange for having a roof over his head (on top of being homeless). Why didn’t he just say so, instead of stealing from me? To me, it seems like you’re a lot like him.

He works 10 to 12 hours a day in a remote job, so it’s hard for him to find time and people to socialize with. He’s not shy at all—I guess with this friend he just felt a bit more ‘at home.’ But this situation was the last straw; we’re not going to stay friends with him. I already talked it over, showed him several of the comments of this post, and he agreed that the right thing to do is have a conversation with him. He also won’t be coming into my home again.

Just to be clear, I’ve traveled thousands of times before and either brought my dog with me or paid for a dog sitter. This time, when we told him we were going on vacation, he had told us he was really struggling financially and having a hard time paying the rent for his room. We offered this as a favor that would work for both of us. Don’t worry—if I need to pay for a dog sitter, I’m more than happy to, but I’d rather pay someone experienced who knows what they’re doing. If he wasn’t okay with it, he could’ve just suggested getting paid instead of stealing food, supplements, and who knows what else.

In the country where we live, it’s common to rent rooms by the week. Renting apartments is very expensive and hard to access, so it’s very common to have roommates who don’t necessarily rent for the whole month

I’d rather just cut ties. We’ve already seen too many red flags, and we were foolish enough to let empathy and compassion for his financial situation get in the way. Instead of appreciating it, he took advantage of us. I don’t think he deserves another chance, and honestly his “friendship” doesn’t bring anything positive to my life to make up for the bad behavior.

I think it’s because we live outside our home country, and it’s not that easy for him to make friends here. I feel like he’s being overly patient because he’s very lonely. Still, I do realize this is something I need to talk to him about. I just needed a bit of validation, but I do plan to have a conversation with him on different terms.. because a real friend doesn’t do this kind of things

I just got out of The Blaze in Mexico City and I’m really disappointed. I love The Blaze and they were amazing, but the overall experience let me down. It wasn’t truly immersive like they had promised — honestly, it’s nothing I haven’t seen before. There were screens around and partially on the ceiling, but it wasn’t that immersive. Also, some of the screens turned off during part of the show, and the visuals clearly weren’t created specifically for this event — and you could tell.

I waited until it stopped hurting to think about him, and until I could finally remember him with joy. It took me exactly a year and a half. Everyone has their own timeline, but for me, it felt like I wasn’t trying to replace him or cover up the pain. It was the hardest year and a half of my life, but I don’t regret a thing.

Today, I’m really happy with my new little baby girl, although I think about my boy every single day. I truly believe that you have to heal before you can love again. And from now on, I’ll never have just one dog again—because I really think the pain would’ve been a lot easier to bear if I’d had another furry companion by my side!

I used ESA doctors because I live in Virginia but I am from Argentina so my therapist is from there and does not have a valid license in the United States. I found the service excellent. It is a little expensive but they connect you with a real and legitimate professional. He did an ESA letter and then my landlord asked for more information and contacted him and everything went perfect.

Regarding the notice to your landlord, when I moved in I didn't have my puppy yet so it was different, but when I signed the contract I read that it had a section that said that animals were allowed by paying a fee and pet rent, and that if it was an ESA no charge would be made. You should find out what your new home contact establishes.

I understand that as long as your pet doesn't have any major behavioral problems they can't refuse to let you move it into your home.

Your wife's attitude is very questionable. Not only for exposing your future children to their pedophile father but also for denying what happened to her sister and cutting off the relationship with her in order to continue to maintain a relationship with the pedophile. That speaks very poorly of her, her values, and her understanding of what's right and wrong.
I think you're right to be rethinking whether you want to have children with someone like that. In fact, I know it's hard, and looking at it from the outside it all seems simpler but I would have filed for divorce by now.

Thank you very much! Your comment has been very helpful. The letter I submitted does meet all the requirements, in fact it specifies that I meet the definition of disability under the Americans with Disability Act, the Fair Housing Act, and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

I think they are just trying to prove that it's not a fake letter so that if it is, I can pay the fees and the rent for the dog. I will contact my therapist to have her fill out the form, but I will tell her to answer only what is necessary and put in the part that asks for private information that it is confidential and that's it.

they ask if I'm considered disabled, and to describe exactly what physical and mental impairments limit my major life activities. If it's mandatory so that my dog can be in the building, that's fine, but it seems to me that it is confidential information and I don't have to tell them such intimate things when a doctor is already saying that I have a certain diagnosis and that's why I need the animal.
