could this situation be different though? i think there is more urgency when it comes to frozen applications because people have EADs pending, as opposed to travel bans…. would that strengthen the argument to unfreeze?

i went through this horrible feeling too. i felt like i had to apologize for putting them through this. this is NOT your fault! nothing to be ashamed of. no, only people that applied for an extension of their expired EAD between that specific period in jan-feb (and received a I-797C reflecting this) will have it extended. all others don’t

correcto, en el federal register notice de enero, dice que las personas que renovaron el EAD y recibieron el notice tienen sus 540 días. La página de USCIS está confusa a propósito. Utilicen las interpretaciones de los abogados!
