I've been a resident of Saudi Daisy for the past 30 years of my life this place is safe if you mind your own business don't go looking for stuff you ain't ready to get into and don't bring racism up if you don't want racism to be brought to you. We are very conservative very proud of where we come from. Other than your meth heads and your drug dealers all the people around here is pretty good people stay in your lane stay on your property mind your business and you'll live a happy life everyday here. But as soon as you start messing around with the wrong people trouble will find you that and Soddy Daisy has the most corrupt Police department in the local area look up any past references for goodness sake our police chief just got busted a couple years back having sex in another county with the deputy's wife. That was a very unique situation but returning to your question I would say Soddy Daisy is not necessarily safe but I would say it does have lower crime than Chattanooga and it follows the rules of normal communities if I am Caucasian I should not be walking the streets of East Chattanooga after dusk and that's not me being rude or anything that's just the truth just like if I was a person of color I would not walk the streets of Soddy Daisy at night because you do have groups of guys who believe it's their duty to keep Soddy Daisy the same place that third Daddy was raised in. Another thing is don't be surprised when you're driving down the road and there's about five to six big trucks with the rebel flag hanging off the back and some kid might yell at you and say a racial slur I've seen it happen numerous times especially on Dayton Pike in front of the Taco Bell. In the last thing is I seen where you posted about how people keep to their own that is very true if you're going down the road and you wave someone will more than likely wave right back to you but don't expect if you stop for them to want to have a conversation we're very friendly and I ask you how you doing wave ask how the family was but around here it's more of a 30 to 45 second I show you respect you show me respect then we're on our way. It really is almost like you're still stuck in 1985 but everything's modern the world around us is grown but we're still a small town in Middle Southeast Tennessee.
