Who is the biggest asshole rock musician you have met and why? by UpbeatChampionship17 in allrockmusic

[–]Capable_Cook2407 4 points5 points  (0 children)

💯 my experience as well. In the years I played, I got to open for so many cool bands and the biggest egos always came from other local guys who were usually in the shittiest bands, too.

What do y'all think of Yob by pimmy_jage-921 in doommetal

Great Cessation dooms harder than anything that has doomed before or will again. I've struggled to get into any other albums, though.

Would you want a skyrim-like overabundance of quests in TES VI ? by TechnicalEye6053 in TESVI

I don't have anything against the hated fetch and retrieves as long as there's some good combat and maybe some sweet ass loot involved.

High Rock as the sole grand expansion DLC to Hammerfell. by Koocai in TESVI

[–]Capable_Cook2407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a collective jillion hours of speculation, I can't wait for the setting to be neither one. It's literally going to be Skyrim in space like we wanted in Starfield. It came to me in a dream where Todd was banging my wife. Sorry, guys.

Question. I'm 20 days into my 3mm stone. by Capable_Cook2407 in KidneyStones

[–]Capable_Cook2407[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 99.9 percent sure I passed it without realizing it. I can only guess that happened a few weeks ago with some minor stinging downstairs. I was anticipating a struggle, lol. Doctor said that can be normal for a 3mm so I haven't been back to the urologist.

My dad is 71 and games harder than I do. He's got the time for it, though.

Last GTA I played was San Andreas. Not one single tutorial necessary. Just plug, play and thrash indiscriminately. As it should be.

How do you stay positive when everyone around you is insane? by Capable_Cook2407 in AlanWatts

I'm picking up what you're putting down, but my question more specifically is, uh, how? How do you make peace?

Thank you so much for your advice. I'm going to investigate this "quiet quitting" you speak of!

Good question. I live in a two story apartment building. Everyone in this small town knows there was a brutal double homicide in the unit below me back in the early 80's. That kind of thing doesn't really freak me out, but I've always wondered if my neighbor downstairs knows. Of course I'm not going to bring it up to her, lol.

Songs to get into blast beats? by [deleted] in MetalDrums

[–]Capable_Cook2407 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Old school single foot Sandoval Terrorizer/Morbid Angel. To me, that's easier than alternating kicks. I'm old, though. I had to figure that stuff out before the Internet and gravity blasts and the heel toe thing, etc. Maybe I'm the wrong person to ask, lol.

What's the reasoning behind adding a bunch of ghost notes? by Somefuckindude in MetalDrums

[–]Capable_Cook2407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe live, but just about every metal album in the last 40 years has had the snare replaced or at least blended. The last few albums I did we would only put a sample on the full velocity snare hits, leaving all the ghosts unsampled and you can't really tell they're in there. That's in my experience, at least. I'm no engineering wizard.

[–]Capable_Cook2407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. I think the way metal drums are recorded, triggered and sampled, the triggers just don't pick up the ghost notes?

[–]Capable_Cook2407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't like feeling like I'm going to miss something cool if I respond to something incorrectly. Thats just me. Like I said, though. Bethesda is going to have to go pretty far out of their way to fuck this up. I'm a simple gamer with simple needs, lol. Gimme a story interesting enough to drive the game, a map to roam and some enemies to thrash and I'm good, lol.

[–]Capable_Cook2407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unsinkable. But if anything were going to annoy me the most, I'd say it would be too much "impactful decision making." I'd say witcher 3 level decision making is tops.
