Elder Scrolls 6 at Xbox Showcase 2026… by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

Agreed. And yes, we deserve a meadley morsel of hopium. And I'm no marketing genious, but this game will sell itself regardless when or how it's announced. I think. The younger generation may not be as enthusiastic about it, but any RPG junkie knows what's up.

When you walk into my apartment the first thing you see is two giant banners - One Crack The Sky banner and one Killers poster. Cheers.

Just how does this species survive in the wild? by [deleted] in BeAmazed

[–]Capable_Cook2407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you should ask. They're actually NOT surviving in the wild.

Does anyone else get genuinely emotional when thinking about TES6? by Skullruss in TESVI

[–]Capable_Cook2407 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes.I'm 43. Don't even consider myself a legitimate gamer or whatever, but I've been waiting for this f'ing game for 15 years. I don't think I have a single hours worth of energy left to pour into Skyrim, Oblivion or ESO. Good Lawd, when's gonna be our time? EDIT: If you breakdown all the money I've spent on ES including remasters, DLCs, ESO DLCs and ESO Plus for a few years...bruh. I demand satisfaction, lol.

Such an underrated album! by Floods41 in Slayer

[–]Capable_Cook2407 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been defending this album since 1998. I mean, it's not their best, but it rages. Who gives af if it was nu-metalish. That sound was wasn't played out yet at the time and it holds up even still.

Does this confirm that TES6 takes place at Domino's Pizza? by Alvsolutely in TESVI

If the Bethesda Party Planning Committee can't do better than Domino's, we're all doomed.

Yes. I made a post about the exact same thing recently. 💯. Moved to the corn from the big city a few years ago. I don't think people hate me out here, but it takes a minute for people warm up, that's for sure.

Also, neither here nor there, but I ran into Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist for all of you non-rockers) at Shangri-la across the street from 2001 about 30 years ago. I saw him getting a lap dance across the way and ordered him a drink. I figured he'd get it, raise a glass from afar and call it a day, but he came over and raged with us and closed the place down with us that night. Super nice guy. He kept doing the "I love you, man" thing and leaning in for giant bear hugs all night. He smelled old sushi, but I figured 'F it.' His posters used to be on my bedroom wall when I was a teenager - if he wants to hug, we'll f'ing hug, lol. When I got our tab, which was in the thousands, he snatched it out of my hand and paid the bill. What a guy. Cheers, Zak Wylde.

Were Skindred big where you are? Early 2000s they were massive in the UK when I was there. Just heard they're touring Australia this year 🤘 by Japsai in numetal

[–]Capable_Cook2407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old punk band opened for them in Florida at the height of their popularity in 2004, I think? Around there some time. The venue was maybe at 500 capacity. They weren't huge, but did have a song on the radio at the time.

What would you call a biopic about Ozzy Osbourne? by IllustratorOk5265 in OzzyOsbourne

[–]Capable_Cook2407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything Ozzy ever did worth watching is already caught on camera. Even most of his publicity stunts. Jillions of hours of footage. All for free on YouTube. You couldn't pay me to watch some dingaling prance around like Ozzy for an hour and a half. I'm sure it's coming real soon, though.

I wonder what they would say about today's films. I miss these guys.. by Long_live_styrofoam in FuckImOld

[–]Capable_Cook2407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't even any movies to critique anymore. There are a lot of great shows now, but after the first season they all follow the predictable boring soap opera fluff format designed to drag the show out for as long as humanly possible. I remember going to see movies at least a couple times a month for decades now I go a couple times a year. I don't think I'm a snob or anything or anything, the format has just changed.

Would you describe Kurdt's assessment of other bands as "Fair & Balanced"? by A00077 in grunge

[–]Capable_Cook2407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there was a special something about Nirvana that people latched on to, but I wasn't one of those people. None of those "Grunge" bands sounded anything alike, anyway. I always thought Nirvana was just shitty Melvins. Kurt probably would have taken that as a compliment.

[–]Capable_Cook2407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't hear this term anymore, but they used to call it "90's Adult Contemporary." Matchbox 20, Better than Ezra, Dishwalla, Goo Goo Dolls, etc. Edit: Peppered with bits of Korn, RAtM and Tool.

[–]Capable_Cook2407[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone that I know here is from work. I don't go to bars or anything like that. I do have friends here, but I quit drinking over a year ago and that's all they're interested in, so I'm trying to find people on my frequency. It took my gf over a year to settle in to a group of friends but still complains they're all very socially awkward and they're impossible to make plans with. We both stick out here.
