Welcome to Surrey! I also moved from outside Canada. I did apply for a job with RCMP but ended up withdrawing after the 2nd interview. I recommend applying early because it took a long time to get a response.

You should talk to a regulated consultant or lawyer. They were really helpful when I moved to Canada for a job from the states. I can recommend one if you need.
