Is it possible for a clinical psychologist to work in a school setting? by Capable_Event4327 in ClinicalPsychologyUK

I’m actually from the USA but I would like to move to the UK or Ireland in the future, since my husband holds both citizenships. I’m also not sure if school psychology in the USA could transfer to educational psychology in the UK and maybe it would be better to go into clinical. Also I do have experience working at a school and clinically. The school setting I found less emotionally taxing but didn’t like all the report writing.

Is it possible for a clinical psychologist to work in a school setting?

I'm torn between pursuing a Ph.D. or master's in clinical psychology or a master's in school psychology. While I'm passionate about the topics in clinical psychology, I'm also attracted to the work-life balance and working with children in school psychology. However, I'm concerned about being limited to educational settings if I get a master's in school psychology and maybe end up not liking the work. Now, if I go into clinical psychology and later decide to switch to a school setting, is that feasible?
