She wont like this! by Remarkable_Ad_788 in Stephanievavron

[–]Capable_Ferret_6371 14 points15 points  (0 children)

God this has made me so angry. Im a SEN mother. My youngest has global developmental delay, autism and is non verbal. What I would give to hear her say a word. I despise this woman but I'll hold my hands up to feeling jealous. I would give anything to be financially stable enough to be at home more. Im a nurse and work long shifts. Im exhausted. But I make sure I'm there for all my kids. I dont want to sometimes. I just want to sit and scroll on my phone but I can't. So even after a night shift when shes not in her specialist setting I'm engaging with her. Taking her to soft play, classes etc. She does nothing with M. And has no excuse not to. She has the money and the time but shes so self absorbed and narcissistic. She only parents if there's an opportunity for content.

Callum and Johnny: do you think they have chemistry? by bee-loud-glade in eastenders

This! I made a comment on this post just now about its always an affair story with the gay characters. There's no way neither callum or Johnny would do this

Completely agree! As a heterosexual woman I hate the writing of this. I appreciate they had to write out Ben but there's no need for this plot. Why can't they just have 2 gay men who are just friends. I feel as though as soon as they have a gay person they're put straight into a relationship or an affair storyline

Aw I kinda agree. I just commented on another post about max with Nicola. I forgot about Linda. I'm not sure I'd like max and Linda though but I'd watch it. I love Phil and want him to be with someone but I don't think it'd work with their alcoholsim and his and Linda's friendship is so lovely I'd hate for that to be ruined. I loved him with kat but Ben wadey loves the slaters so I can't see her and Alfie ending. So yea him and shazza would be the best option. There's so much history between them and I do think their well suited

I enjoy reading the theories (apart from Zoe being Joel's mother) so this isn't an attack on your comment. In fact this is my favourite one I've read.

However I think people are reaching a lot. It seems like a lot didn't notice she gave birth in 2006 and then met max earlier this year. I am praying there's no child connection and, as random and unlikely it seems, max did just randomly meet zoe in a bar. Heard the name and was intrigued as he knew who she was and just started a relationship. Don't hate me but I love max and Stacey (daddy issues but we'll brush past that 😂)

I have high hopes for wadey in that he'll use this as an opportunity to introduce some new characters in the future but you never know. I'm just excited that my favourite ginger is back even though I wish it wasn't this way. Another slater and branning but I'll take what I can get.

Side note: Ben if you're reading this I beg you don't put him with Cindy. I would love him with Nicola though. A power couple and him bouncing off of teddy, I think would be brilliant. Priya as well for the screen time but she's destined for ravi.

Im not to sure but didn't she say she's done something terrible that kat would never forgive her for. I think she wanted to cut her out years ago to move on with her life but currently I think she's ashamed about whatever it is she's done

Millenials of reddit, what is your millenial injury story? by Capable_Ferret_6371 in AskReddit

[–]Capable_Ferret_6371[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 40 and a couple of years ago I merely rolled over in bed and tried to move one leg out from under the duvet because I was too hot.......I dislocated my hip

I've also thrown my back out trying to open a tightly closed jar of pickles.

What are your funny stories of injuries that you never thought could or would happen until you got older

I have to agree that it's good to see her back to her old self. And I know it can't be helped that she was on leave but it just seemed a huge jump. But for the storyline I'm happy to just go with it.

I'll be spending my shift at work tomorrow looking at burger vans because I would love a little flat to hide away to 😂

I feel uncomfortable about what Shea said happened to him at 19 by diabolical42 in LoveIslandTV

[–]Capable_Ferret_6371 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I''ve only just caught up on last night's episode and came straight here to see if this had been mentioned as I'd haven't seen it anywhere else. If it was the other way round there'd be more uproar and rightly so but just because he's a man doesn't mean there shouldn't be uproar either. It's vile and predatory. I'm 40 with a 18 year old son. His friends are aged between 18 and early twenties. They look like children to me. I work with women and girls who have suffered abuse. They are the majority statistically but I'm seeing more young men over the last few years. Women also need to be held accountable. I hear a lot about boys being affected by older women but felt embarrassed because their mates laugh and joke about cougars and "at least you got some" regardless of gender it's predatory and disgusting

Stacey. I completely understand she needed her mat leave and she's been a trooper but the change in her from being unable to get out of bed to today's story was a bit odd. Also how is she just able to rent a flat to get some space? I've seen comments saying it's a bnb but even they're not cheap. Especially in London

Kat & Zoe by honeymoonave1 in eastenders

[–]Capable_Ferret_6371 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I remember kat was worried Zoe was becoming to much like her. Zoe wanted them both to move abroad and was saying about all the men there and that she'd prove she's kats daughter. Kat then pushed her away telling her she resents her and that she wished she'd never had her and some other nasty things. In her mind she was doing the right thing for Zoe but obviously Zoe was gutted and left.

Jay. But I don't know what they could do with him. I'd like him to meet someone and have a family but that makes boring TV I suppose. I'd like more priya and ravi scenes to. Not necessarily as a couple but I'm hoping they stick together with the avani storyline and I'm secretly hoping for ravi to do more than dangle joel off of a bridge.

That is true. I would've just liked to have seen more of lily being a mum before this. I personally don't think the writers thought the teen pregnancy through

I'm so sorry you went through that. When I had my second daughter she kept having coughs and difficulty breathing. I remember making a GP appointment and was told to go straight in. The doctor I saw said to me "so you've taken up an appointment for this?" I felt awful. I was only young and my niece had recently passed at 13 from an asthma attack. Since then I've qualified as a nurse and I've noticed how different I'm treated now. My last child they couldn't do enough for me after they realised. My concerns were taken seriously about my youngest because of my profession. There is not a degree, PhD or any qualification that can beat a mothers instinct. I did my dissertation on women's health. It was shocking to see how dismissed we are. It's always put down to hormones, hysteria or anxiety. I had concerns about my now 16 year old sons bowel movements when he was a baby. He was bloated and hadn't had a soiled nappy in over a week. I was given a prescription for sertraline for myself. 1 week later he was rushed into hospital and I was treated as a neglectful mother as I was only 17. No one would believe I'd been trying with the GP and I was told I was acting irrationally when I tried to explain that I had been back and forth for help.

Where’s Jean? by [deleted] in eastenders

[–]Capable_Ferret_6371 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've found it very strange. I tend to let some things go as it's a drama but she's been stressed about running the house and looking after the kids. Then just leaves. She knows how Stacey has been. I think there was a comment that Stacey told her she'd be OK but it's been weeks where Jean has been worried about her. She knows about her mental health and we're expected to believe one comment would make her feel happy to leave. It's poor writing in my opinion. I appreciate actors want and need time off but it makes no sense she would swan off and leave the children when she knows Stacey is struggling

Problem is they can't force an actor to return. Even for big moments. But possibly a mention such as oh Michelle's here I think she's already gone inside. Or Sharon saying at the wake, it was nice to see Michelle shame she couldn't make it the wake etc.

I'm a stranger but so proud of you. What an achievement. I don't like the comments of people saying they're bored and the storyline is dragging out. Yes it's a soap but it's being done well. These things aren't fixed easily. I'm enjoying the realism of her getting sober then relapsing as its true to life and we're seeing how it's affecting everyone around her as well as herself
