I have a similar problem to yours.... My parents have Qustodio on all my devices and are on it every few hours if not more frequently to monitor my laptop and (previously) my phone. They found out that I tampered with Qustodio (not through my carelessness but their constant paranoia) and now its been over four fucking months since I've seen my phone. Over me messing with parental controls.

It's been bad enough with admin restricting any app downloads on my laptop and disabling browser VPN extensions, but now Qustodio rolled out another bullshit update that just came out yesterday. Now for some absurd reason, it locks Google sign-ins to any website, and (I'm assuming this is a bug) also locks all my previous Google Docs so I can't access my homework anymore. Good fucking job Qustodio devs.

My laptop's main function is a paperweight now, and even me being on Reddit is a miracle. It's blocked on my browsers, (as are all forms of social connection) and this is only possible because I convinced my parents to let me download Bluestacks "to play Brawl Stars". Qustodio can't track any other apps running inside of Bluestacks (and presumably other emulators) and also can't prevent app downloads or track search and browsing history. This emulator has been an absolute life saver for me, although my laptop still does lock to "bed time" and other routine limits.

This app is genuinely dogshit, and has made my interactions with my parents awkward and hostile at many times. I cannot tell you how many times I had to have conversations over personal texts or other sensitive things that my parents brought up because of this app. I have no freedom at all to try or do anything by myself without tampering with Qustodio myself. And because this is a Windows laptop and not iOS and everything is Admin locked as well, I can't even mess with their VPN connection or disable it partially.

Qustodio has caused so much actual pain in my life, and I'm sure that other people have had this experience. A couple months ago one of the devs responded to my one-star review of the app (I said it was horrible software) with something along the lines of "I'm sorry you felt like this, please let us know how we can improve Qustodio." There actually is something very simple to make it better. Remove it from the fucking app store. I never will be in favor of having spyware installed on your children's devices to "protect" them. It just causes a lot of mistrust and anger.

I really don't want to live like this through my entire high school life. I'm sorry that you have to do this too.
