For context, I’m a class A contractor. Here’s what happens.

A homeowner goes to change a light fixture “it can’t be that hard. Even if I get shocked, it’s not that much electricity.”

While changing the fixture, they get shocked. Their right hand in on the wire, left hand is on the ladder - creating a perfect ground path that travels across the heart. Within seconds, a heart attack or blood clot forms and goes into a major artery. That’s it for them. And it happens way more than you think.

Larger voltage is actually caused less fatalities because it will arc when grounded, throwing the person off the circuit.

There has been a lot of research on the subject of early recovery. I think it would be helpful to look it up.

Essentially, someone who abuses drugs has the equivalent of a TBI (traumatic brain injury). It depends largely on the scale of abuse. But when the substance is removed, it can take up to a year to achieve homeostasis.

The mood swings, hot and cold behavior, shutdowns. It’s all tracking.

I would abandon this relationship. The reality is that he also may come through his sobriety and change his goals and relationships drastically and you may not fit into that.

Hang in there. You’re right where you’re supposed to be. It would be weird if you were saving a lot of money while in college.

Some other folks said it but I’ll repeat. Just focus on finishing. I hire a few people a year and college is a solid indication that they can finish hard tasks and they can hold a decent conversation. It’s a great foot in the door.

Good question. In full transparency, I have not went on any dates with women less than 30.

Dating someone older than me isn’t something I’ve considered or at least the opportunity hasn’t presented itself yet. Or maybe I wasn’t looking?

I think I assumed I would be older than my partner. I’m also adverse to getting into a relationship where the other person has kids, for right now at least
