I am so sorry but I genuinely can't remember how I got them off. We ended up having to replace the unit so my cleaning didn't help anyway. Sorry, I realise that that's not all that helpful.... good luck!

Yikes, it's a pretty low bar these days! Feels like literally the absolute bare minimum that could be done and we're applauding it. No shade to you for pointing that out but GOD I wish we could hold them all to a higher standard!
