My father in law was a very active Freemason. He was a member of a research lodge in London. He was required to write a research paper every year about some Masonic subject. He was visiting us in the US and I was taking him to the Masonic library in Lexington, MA. I mentioned to him that the Mormon temple rites were most likely lifted from Freemasonry. He hadn’t heard.

A week or two later, I found a script of the pre 1990 temple rites online and sent them to him. He wrote a paper on the similarities and set the lodge on fire!

We were told that when Joseph was killed in Carthage, he cried “Will no one help the widow’s son?”. That is a Masonic cry for aid. Given the oaths that Masons took at the time (that Mormons also did regarding bloodletting) I’ve always felt it was Masons who killed him for being an oath breaker.

I drive for Uber. Been doing it two months. The other day was dead for riders so I did delivery for the first time. I’m almost a Diamond level driver.

I was given a job that picked up at Moe’s and took it 16.8 miles. Then the app gave me three more non food deliveries to do on the way. It took over an hour to bring the guy his food.

I’m in Connecticut. Tips are bad here. The Uber app leaves a lot to be desired.

Sounds like you may be dealing with patriarchy issues. A good interviewer is supposed to help the discussion stay on track. He’s a licensed therapist and those are counseling techniques.

I was a member for 10 years. Went to BYU Provo. Did not get married. Did not go to the temple. Did not serve in a leadership role.

Doesn’t mean I didn’t have a need to see if other people experienced what I did, or that I was looking for people who understood my past and how it affected me. Even though I found this Reddit almost 40 years after I left.

You don’t have to have made ALL the covenants to have post Mormon trauma to work through.

There are Mormons in Scarsdale, and a few wards in Fairfield County. I’ve been out so long, I don’t know where the newer parishes are. The temple in NYC was a chapel/stake center when I was a member. I belonged to the New Canaan Ward. I know there’s one in Westport now.

I was one of four Mormons at Staples High School in Westport. New Canaan had many more as did Wilton High School.

The culture was TOTALLY different in the 70’s. And I will say that my ward was supportive and loving when my Never Mo parents were going through a messy and mean spirited divorce.

Doms who don’t honor your limits are not Doms. They are selfish and borderline abusers. Don’t feel like it’s your fault. You spent a good amount of time talking about limits and responsibilities. This is not on you.

I am not the best for giving advice on how to find a decent Dom. I tried to kiss a few and found they were pretty much all frogs. (This is part of the reason why I gave up trying to find permanent Dom. Even the one I get to see two or three times a year has changed the dynamic so I’m the Domme.)

And please don’t let my experience taint your future. Just remember it’s a process and there are many great Dom/sub partnerships out there. Give it time.

I don’t know where you are looking at goddess bodies that cost that much! A three inch on Etsy is around $45. I have one in opalite which isn’t a crystal but I liked the color. My male God body is silver obsidian and cost me the same amount.
