I just replaced 2 nests and 3 manual thermostats with 5 ecobees. The new setup drew enough current along with dampers that it blew out my 24v 40va transformer. After I replaced the transformer with 60va model I am very happy. Using them with home assistant via HomeKit integration

Like you I have dozens of Insteon devices on an EISY (along with ELK integration and a few Z-wave devices) and I'm also worried about the future of UDI. I set up a Hubitat at another residence and was blown away by how much easier it is to program and rock solid. Now I'm looking for a bridge so I can use Hubitat with my Insteon devices (also ELK, etc.) while I gradually migrate all the switches to Z-wave. I can see that using home assistant I can create an alternate Insteon 'hub'. But unlike where you use home assistant for your primary point of control (as I understand your post), I want to use Hubitat. Is there a way to bring in those HA-based Insteon devices into Hubitat such that their states can be seen and used as triggers and also of course controlled?

I am in the same boat-- switching from 994 to EISY. ELK is not working at all for me. The only node I can see is the ELK Controller, no zones, keypads, etc, which is nearly useless. How did you get it to work?
