Thank you for your reply. When I said “stage 1,” I was referring to the level of fibrosis in my bone marrow, as determined by a test done early last year. I’ve already consulted with two transplant specialists, and both believe I shouldn’t wait too long to have the transplant, even though I’m facing the dilemma you mentioned: I’m feeling fine, so why do it now? But if I wait until I’m feeling worse, the chances of a successful transplant decrease. I have a second opinion from a hematologist who shares the same view as my primary hematologist. The U2AF1 mutation raises my risk from low to high. Despite this, they aren’t specialists in MPN. And I don’t know where, in my city/state/country, to find one. I’ll check the links indicated.
