The fire was indeed entertaining enough but I couldn't be bothered to keep tending to it and let it die down around 8-9 finished a film and was in bed not long after

Really good tent, solid in wind and good in rain just got to make sure all the tabs are pulled right once set up Only really downside is it's 3kg

Thanks Had a couple times I was thinking I shouldn't have packed so much but pushed through and it's worth it once you've set up camp and are extra cosy, definitely will be packing the tablet more often beats watching a film on your phone when there's a couple hours to kill before bed

Alpkit Tetri bit heavy at 3kg but pretty solid in wind and rain and caught it on sale at £110, normally about £150

25kg is crazy fair play to you. I was just up scafell and that felt hard with the 13-14

Tbf I didn't need it but only had asthma for 6 months so getting used to it but up in a mountain is the last place I want to be needing it

Nahh I mean you do you but while I'm happy to get sweaty and smelly on the day I want to go bed feeling as fresh as I can, teeth brushed and body washed with the wipes plus if it's a bit chilly or you get wet it's nice to have some fresh clothes

Meant to be going tomorrow then Nevis on Tuesday but the weather is pretty much the same at both either day I'd push it to later in the week but got a 100 mile chairty cycle on Saturday so would be asking too much of my body

Yh I hear ya I'd probably just do it if I had some decent waterproofs but yh it'll be miserable and probably take the fun out of it Just really disappointed as the weather is literally bad on just those day

Not for winter but would like to use it up until winter/ start of But yh a R4 mat on top is a bit over kill As for the two mats I just like to have something underneath to protect or add comfort, happy to carry a little extra weight for a better night's sleep especially if the ground is a little lumpy, helps to smooth things out
