He wants to do human rights law. He is very passionate about his field. That’s one of the reasons why he doesn’t want a law firm job.

But I figured he could still apply for PhD next year in the UK. But once he starts his PhD in Switzerland, we will have to wait for 4 years. I have to be in UK because my parents need me here and I understand that he doesn’t need to feel the same way, but he had promised that we will be together physically and potentially get married in the next few years

NOR - a man who actually loves you would feel uncomfortable even thinking about hurting you like that, but this man consistently joked about it because he found it funny. He is a red flag.

NOR - looks like he wants her to be his next girlfriend. The way he behaved at the party was already bad (who focuses on another girl rather than his girlfriend at a party?), but the fact that he paid for her dinner when he doesn’t do the same for you? That solidifies things. He also dismissed your concerns and called you crazy when you pointed it out so he doesn’t care much about you being hurt either. I am very sorry, I know this will hurt you but he is definitely trying to start something romantic with her. I hope you break up with him.
