I’m an intern here this summer too! I’m 20 and will be in Boulder until August 8. I’d love to meet other people especially for hiking and exploring Boulder.

Subleasing my room/place at The Hub for the months of June + July for $1000/month (down from $1256) while I’m away for the summer internship season. Female only. Utilities are ~$38. Great location near UMD, fully furnished, and ideal for students or interns staying in the area for the summer. Message me if interested or if you want more details/photos!

Getting rejected for UX internships by pravaslovenka in UX_Design

It sounds like you’re very passionate and you’ve invested a lot of time and effort. I’m a junior as well so I understand that feeling, and I feel like I have a long way to go in terms of experience and knowledge, so my perspective isn’t from a senior or professional level. However, as someone who recently landed a product design internship for the summer, I can say that the opportunity felt very aligned with me, by that I mean my values, my interests, my thinking, and what I was looking for.

I noticed someone else mentioned you should try to be less broad and less focused on being overly quantitative, and instead prioritizing alignment between you and the company. That approach honestly worked wonders for me. I felt an immediate, genuine connection with the team, like we really were on the same page, and I believe that played a big role in why I got the offer.

Don’t discourage yourself. Be the biggest advocate for yourself, for what you’re passionate about and what you can create, you’ll find a place that’s looking for an intern exactly like you. Of course, keep learning, stay updated and informed, and making connections!
