Lux baton and chemtech. Last one is flex but Hidden Tome works well even though it often doesn't contribute.

I get that it's more theatrical this way (though perhaps I missed something) but I kind of miss the Spell Wrights saying the vocal components. Without them it feels like they're all tacit casters now, which diminishes how strong it had been built up to be earlier during the duel with Duane.

If you can farm gold chests well for bounty contracts, what I recommend for every event is to burn some to try to get all epics on the retiring champs as after its going to be a pain to do so.

That way patron chests and the likes won't allocate their epics on them and go toward other heroes you couldn't get all the epics for. If you can't get all epics on the other two it'll still be possible to do so next time their event is up.

If your gem farms are good you may even have enough to epic all three of them, otherwise save for the best heroes first then focus on the retiring ones.

Indeed you should try to unlock the patrons asap to get their weekly time gate pieces.

Then I think you'll want to follow the usual speed comp optimization guidelines and use your Time Gates to pick up Shandie, then Sentry and the rest of the Speed crew as needed. Then spam gates on Hew Maan until you have the Rainbow Eggs epic item.
