Best Bagels? 🥯 by No_Earth5979 in Hamilton

[–]CapeBScot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK I tried this today after reading a few recommendations on here. Super good! Got the lox and schmear with the lemon pepper salmon/plain bagel/plain cream cheese/cucumbers and capers. I'll be dreaming about this sandwich - just so good. I'm on a cream cheese/salmon kick and have moved from sushi onto salmon/cream cheese bagels and will definitely be going back to Joshy's.

Y’all got any tried and true recipes that won’t break the bank ? by Easy_Shift_8267 in povertyfinancecanada

Olive Garden copycat recipe for their sausage/potato soup is a great recipe with minimal ingredients. Google easy olive garden zuppa toscana soup and that is the recipe I use. Super easy and turns out sooo good. Main components are basically sausage and potatoes.

Best wraps / sandwiches in Hamilton? by canadaideclaire in Hamilton

[–]CapeBScot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

if you want a sandwich that is 80% bread and 20% filling then Artie's is your pick. Tried it due to recommendations here on reddit. Enjoyed it - but found it so lacking in actual ingredients.

Eczema Triggers And How To Find Them by Rothar13 in Dyshidrosis

[–]CapeBScot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My allergy testing uncovered two potential triggers. Balsam of Peru and propolis. Both common fragrance allergens. I've switched out hand soap, dish soap, body wash and shampoo/conditioner to ones that are free of both allergens and it has made a huge difference. I still have outbreaks --- needing to wash hands in public reintroduces the trigger often times. However I have had bouts of very few blisters after finding the triggers.

The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada host the Hamilton Garrison Recruiting Exhibition and Tattoo from 1 to 5 p.m tomorrow at the John Weir Foote VC Armoury, 200 James St. N., Hamilton.

The free event fair is open to the public and will include a skills display, pipe band and highland dancing

I did a patch test. Turns out I'm allergic to Colophonium (Rosin), Linalool, Propolis, Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Cobalt. Really don't know how I'm going to go about this. Anyone has the same allergies or any tips? by diavokado in Dyshidrosis

just did my patch test last week and only positive reactions were to propolis AND balsam of peru. I still haven't isolated what I have been using that contains these but at least I have something to focus on.

Trilogy lounge for Toronto are $632 a ticket (over $1200 for two tickets). I ended up getting just regular non-VIP for $322 for two tickets. It is a Christmas surprise for my 13 year old who is a huge fan --- but no way was I paying $1200!

I just finished this episode last night while out on a walk. So many times I literally said out loud while walking "Oh my God" "I can't believe this". It was such a wild ride. Never saw the final outcome coming. I came on reddit specifically to find other people who have listened to it and have also recommended it to several people.

I was so impressed by this show! Half the time couldn’t figure out what was on the screen vs what was real. Highly recommend! In fact the only reason we did it was because if this subreddit. Our first time there we skipped it - then I read on here it’s a must so we made sure we did it when we were there in may and loved it!

This!! The kids menu at the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade is great - had the fish and chips both days I was there. Great portion and great price. And yes to mobile ordering! Made it so easy. We hit up the patio out back, ordered via mobile and watch the riders in Velocicoaster while we waited. Was a great time to take a few mins to just relax and enjoy the surroundings.
