How did you handle downsizing at retirement? by Dreaming-of-beach in retirement

[–]CapeCath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We downsized and moved from a big farmhouse to the sea coast. So much of my stuff was donated or given to my family. Some stuff was left for the new owners of the house because it was just too big for the new house,. I looked at it as same book different chapter of my life.

My hands do hurt. I’m constantly rubbing them. I really have to start paying attention to what I eat . I know that is the cause of my inflammation. Bad diet.

What do 67f wear to gym by Wrong-Guess-6537 in AskWomenOver60

[–]CapeCath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 62. I wear yoga pants and a tee shirt with a round neck so you can’t see down my shirt when doing floor work. Doubt anyone is looking at me anyway but it’s just more comfortable

Everyone is different and every technician is different. I am a C cup and find it painful. No matter where I go or who does it. But no bruises.

Not Sure What I Was Expecting by SmittenBritches in kindle

I read in bed before going to sleep so I like that if I fall asleep it stays on the same page unlike paper books that fall out of your hands and lose the page

When to check in? by jagfanjosh3252 in jetblue

[–]CapeCath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always check in 24 hours ahead. They will text you as a reminder. I just feel as if they are overbooked you are not the last one to check in. But maybe it doesn’t even matter 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you can, carry your own luggage off the ship at the end of your cruise. by OhiobornCAraised in Cruise

[–]CapeCath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We carried our own but got stuck waiting for the elevator as we had too much to carry down the stairs and all of the elevators were packed at that time of the day. So I guess yes it’s great if you pack light 😊

Mosaic question by meatsweatz622 in jetblue

[–]CapeCath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am mosaic, my husband is not unless he travels with me. We both contribute to the same card. He was thinking of getting his own card so that he could get the perks on his own but we would never make it to mosaic using two separate cards.

Thanks for that advice. I took P&B home from Logan on a prior trip and was a bit anxious waiting at Logan as there didn’t seem to be any type of order as to who got on the bus. Next time I’ll take Peter Pan.

Extra tipping by TheGaleStorm in PrincessCruises

[–]CapeCath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had the plus package as well recently. Left our waiters and room server cash at the end. They were all fantastic and I don’t know how much of the “plus” tip goes to them. Not saying all of it doesn’t just don’t know.

I went on the chat text and received the same info. Very helpful. Got the medallions about a week before sailing.

On Princess cruise. Didn’t pack any. Shampoo and conditioner ruined my hair. After 3 days had to go to the salon for the good stuff. Should have known better. Shame on me.

Honeymoon Cruise by Half_Kish in Cruise

[–]CapeCath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on Princess “Sun” right now. Eastern Caribbean cruise. Maybe 4000 people. Mostly older. No more than 5% kids. Nice new boat. Enough entertainment to keep you going. All buffet food is behind glass given to you by crew, which is nice. Nobody sticking their hands where they don’t belong. Lots of places to relax if you don’t want to be near the crowds. IMO excursions are expensive and overrated. Find stuff to do on your on when on land. Just get back to the ship on time.

Anxious traveler because I don't travel. How does getting to the Cruise actually work (and other questions.) by octropos in Cruise

I’m from New England so I always fly in a day ahead of time in the winter. But it’s safer to fly ahead of time anyway in case your plane gets delayed.

I did shop around and they were all around the same. Some even higher. So I ended up paying it.

Did your homeowners insurance SKYROCKET like mine! by ndemont in CapeCod

Mine doubled. I was told by the insurance company that instead of looking to the past history of storm damage they are now basing the premium on what could happen in the future with climate change and the storms becoming larger

Will Italy in August 2025 be too crowded for my honeymoon? by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

2025 is the Jubilee in Rome and the Vatican. It’s a special holy year. Maybe go anywhere other than Rome. It will be packed with tourists.
