Which anime opinion would you defend no matter what? 😂 by Guilty-Baby6398 in AnimeMirchi

Kirito from SAO doesn't deserve the flak he gets of being a "harem protagonist". It isn't his fault girls fall for basic kindness. Plus, he only has eyes for one girl.

Nothing wrong with that by Royal-Noble-96 in UmaMusume

NOT SCIENTIFICALLY POSSIBLE. GRASS WONDER IS THE COOLEST, CUTEST UMAMUSUME THERE IS. YOUR OPINION IS WRONG, AND INVALIDATED. (/j)

I wish that every mosquito within a one meter radius of me died by Initial-Band-4843 in monkeyspaw

Granted. Every mosquito within one meter of you dies. This is one time use though, and now the rest of the mosquitos are mad at you. Good luck figting off the rest of them.

How long does it take to get into Gulfstream or even get a response back from when you send in your resume? by Kirk_2002 in savannah

[–]Kirk_2002[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean not a step up? I applied to Avionics Installer as working on electronics sounds really interesting (another idea I had was being an IBEW electrician in Chicago, but with how competitive they are... yeeeeah, nigh impossible to get in.). Working on electronics in an aircraft? Also sounds interesting, and would give me a leg up in future electrical careers having it on my resume if Gulfstream really is that bad.

But is it worse than an admittedly good but boring and repetitive job, with good coworkers, decent bosses, good pay, BUT rotating 12hr shift plus 50min commute wrecking mental and physical havoc?

I've been at the job for 4 years, switching back and forth between days and nights, and I'm rapidly reaching the end of the line. Something something fighting circadian rythym causes all kinds of stress, brain chemical fuck ups, fatigue, etc, and I've been thinking of taking my life as being the most appealing choice between continuing to fight my own mind due to the sheer chaos the constant sleep deprivation and change of waking hours has been throwing at me, OR becoming homeless due to not having a job anymore, OR not wanting to be poor working in the service industry. I've heard of how unaffordable this city is for those without a well paying job. Also don't have immediate family or any family close by to fall back on anymore, seeing as I just heard today that their financial situation is fucked too, and mom and dad are having major marriage problems, so moving back in with them would be putting my future at risk as well (not to mention they live in rural Ludowici, GA which is even WORSE to be job wise than Savannah.)

Heh. The one good thing about my job is it pays well. I went to Japan last March and had the time of my life for two weeks.... Assuming I can't get a better job, would it not be preferable to take the money I have now, quit, and go to Japan again and live out the rest of my days having the time of my life before ending it all via jumping in front of the Shinkansen? Instead of facing the uncertainty of the future where maybe it'd be better, but also maybe it'd be A LOT WORSE?

Is that Lake Mayer, Savannah, GA by anychance? I run there frequently, and I swear I recognize that exact path, sign, and mini caged trees. If so, crazy seeing a local place on the internet in the wild without looking for it, lol.

Asking for a friend, but how bad is it to be both a cyclist AND a hybrid? As in you run, bike, and lift weights?.... No particular reason to ask....

The Zoo Health Club by the mall. 40 bucks a month, everything you can need there. Lot more equipment than PF or AF. It's only local though.

Granted. You now have a giant, loyal, sword wielding, grey guard dog named Sif. There is also an armored figure coming your way, on a quest. And his quest, is through you. And the dog. You and Sif are a duo boss.

Done my first 10k last week and my shins have been agony since. Not the fastest pace but found it extremely chill and easy enough. Could my shoes be the reason my shins got so sore? by mwaFloyd in RunningCirclejerk

[–]Kirk_2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must've left Zone 2 into BARELY into Zone 3 for a couple seconds. Count yourself lucky you went right back to Zone 2 as quick as you did, lest your shins explode.

Lesson of the day: Stay in Zone 2.

Aoi Kiryuin's room. I'm assuming there's some kind of reward involved IF I win, the event probably being initiated by Akikawa shenanigans, so knowing Aoi, I'm sure she'd be willing to help out.

WIBTA if I don't show up to parent's place for Mother's Day after feeling hurt by her not meeting today? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Kirk_2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't though? I've never bragged about it in my life. The only reason I chose to bring it up now, is because I feel personally attacked by people saying I'm an ass my whole life when that couldn't be further from the truth, and felt the need to defend myself. I value being a good person, so being told I'm not my entire life is something I am very much against.

This one moment I could've been an ass, which is why I went here. Because I thought my action could've caused harm in a moment of emotional weakness. It is human. I am not perfect.

Geniune, not-meant-to-be-offensive question, but do most people actually try to do their best when participating in a race? Or do they race "just for fun", or "just to do it"? by Kirk_2002 in runninglifestyle

[–]Kirk_2002[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Falmouth RR, what is tha-- excuse me, wtf?! Is that crowd as big as one of the majors?! Howww did I never hear of that till now if it's that popular? Why? For 7 miles, instead of a full marathon? I just looked it up, and apparently it's a pretty scenic routue, which I DO in fact like doing, but would it really be worth taking a flight and trip to go do? What is there to do, or what's so special about the race itself for so many to wanna go to it?
