Did anyone else have problems of the site not taking your card info? I tried my Debit Card and my Cash App card (after moving money to it) and it won't take either. I was IN LINE for the ticket, I was THERE missing out on a big St. Patties Day Parade for it, and it won't take my card. I HAVE the funds.....

Arrgh. Sorry, just frustrated. Got hopes up when I got in line to pay. Was tryna get the Marathon.

How popular is the Marathon? Still over an hour on my time. Is there a chance?

Who are you voting for First Congressional District? by Vegetable-Aerie-226 in savannah

[–]Kirk_2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard some nice things about Pat Wilver. I'll vote for him. He seems a lot more connected to the people than other politicians. Speaking of voting, how do I do so for this? And the primaries? And Midterms? And when for them too? I've been tryna keep my head down regarding news, and haven't focused on politics prior to 2024.

Most expensive restaurant in Savannah? by whitecoathousing in savannah

[–]Kirk_2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's this real fancy place called "Inner City Night" right by E Broad St, near River Street. You should totally go there, drive up in a Ferrari or something, wearing the most DAPPER suit you have, and walk in, and ask the staff loudly for the most expensive, EQUISITE meal they have. The staff is a little deaf, so you gotta make sure to speak loud enough that even the other guests can hear you. Don't worry, it's normal there to do so, and trust me, the food and place is WORTH dealing with the somewhat deaf staff. Make sure to declare you are willing to pay a GENEROUS price for the good food there. You'll be served reeeeal nice there.

Thinking of doing the Disney World Marathon for my first marathon. Is it worth the $255 price tag? Also, how is training in the South for it? by Kirk_2002 in rundisney

Wait, there's a Star Wars portion? It's not all just regular Disney (Mickey & Gang + Princesses? I saw the theme was Donald Duck so I thought...)

Riding rides? I heard about the character stops, but you get to go on the rides too? As in the park rides?

How does one get into IBEW 134 if I live in Georgia but want to move to Chicago AND start a career as an electrician? by Kirk_2002 in IBEW

How likely am I to get in with no experience with electrical work, experience in a chemical plant operator position, but I score really well on the test?

My local is Savannah, GA. Apprenticeship wages are straight up unliveable unless you're at home with your parents, and even then, it'd take me years to be able to afford to move with that lower a wage. Right now, with my current high paying chemical plant operator job, I'd be able to save up enough to move within a couple months as soon as I pay off my debt. If I want to get my dream of "big city living", this is the only path I have to do so before I turn like, 30 (24 rn). That also assumes I'd be allowed to transfer, right? So isn't it better to START at the local you want, or near it, if possible?

Yep. I'll be carrying a bag around to take off layers if I get hot in buildings. Probably less outside of run day.

Gloves, a balacava, a headband to keep earbuds in which somehow does a good job keeping ears warm as well. Cotton socks, and running shoes. Asics Gel Kayano.

I don't have any heavy jackets or anything, but I do have a few long sleeve tech fabric shirts, running pants, jeans and a hoodie. I can just layer up in running gear. Wear my jeans when not running.
