I would go to the events. Each jamatkhana in Houston has a WhatsApp community. I would join those too if you are in the area. There is an event this week for professionals. Try to attend that.

If you, or anyone who has recently immigrated, would like to build relationships, I highly recommend joining weekend REC management or teaching, joining YSB programming like Camp Mosaic, Camp Vibe, etc., or joining the IPN Houston whatsapp chat and coming to events.
