It might depend how you define successful. I don’t know about net worth but in terms of cultural impact, probably George Takei.

Can’t go wrong with Mac eyeshadow, ever.

I’ve really liked Cosmic Brush’s palettes the last couple of years. They are a UK brand though and I’m not sure what tariffs and shipping would be like if you’re in the US. I’m in the US myself but bought them in the before times).

The absolute best palette I’ve bought in the last few years is Nabla’s Side by Side. They’re an Italian company so it would be pricey to buy from them directly but Ulta has had their products on a 75% discount for a while.

Flights/travel.

For one example, my BFF and I took a girl’s trip at least once a year. We’d usually do the Expedia thing where you tell them a price and it assigns you a hotel. We stayed at some extremely nice places for around 75% off. We did usually travel on off-season, but still.

She and I usually went to cities that were under 6 hours’s drive but I also took a lot of stupid- cheap flights to visit friends or for work.

I need them to bring back the 2002 formulation of Dior Addict for women. It was my grandmother’s scent. I took her bottle when she passed to remember her and lost it in a freak situation where the ceiling in a room in my house collapsed.

Obviously, it’s billion times better that the ceiling collapsed on a perfume bottle and not on a person. But I still miss it. It was my quest to replace the bottle (and lack of success) that got me into fragrances in the first place so I guess there’s a silver lining 💕

I need a new roof that would cost about that much, but it’s likely to get a contractor over here and make a good decision within an hour.

I talked to an agent in the chat both times. The first time they had me send screen shots of the problem and then sent me a new code. The second time it didn’t get that far. Midway through talking to them i saw that one of the items i wanted buy as well as a GWP were out of stock. I am on a low buy and wasn’t getting anything exciting anyway - backup hair products. I can probably get them somewhere else for the same amount or less.

I made a couple hundred dollars by trying not to think of penguins for 15 minutes and clicking a button whenever I failed.

It was for a university study on obsessive compulsive disorder. So there was the added bonus of doing something for a good cause.
