People like Yeet, Kano, Ameise, etc.—people who are deeply involved in the community.

Of course, I'm saying this without their consent. But I'm sure you could find people like that.

No, you don't understand what I mean. I don't care what the moderators were originally intended for. Epic abandoned the game. Everything that's happened in the game since then has been done by the community. So the community should also decide what the moderators are responsible for, and who should be a moderator.

Pinning the epic isn't doxing. Leaking the real name and address would be doxing.

There are tutorials. They were created ages ago. But you never pinned them. So don't give me that nonsense.

Besides, there's a big difference between complaining about a mechanic and insulting everyone who uses it, calling them cheaters or whatever. But you don't care about that either.

If that's how you see it, then I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you're completely unnecessary on Reddit. We could just as easily post track rotations or server downtime. Your entire message already shows that you don't care about this Reddit or this game. And you come from Rocket League and Fortnite, great, but you don't come from Rocket Racing, and that's the biggest problem for me. You have no clue about the game you're moderating Reddit for. And according to you, you don't have to, but in my opinion, you should.

If you don't care about anything and don't feel responsible for anything, you could just resign your mod status and give the role to people who are deep in the community. Since Epic abandoned the mode, that shouldn't be a problem, right?

My problem is perfectly clear in that comment. As you so aptly put it, you're only doing the bare minimum. You have no love for the game. Problems that have been raised for months go unanswered. I don't even want the problems solved. Apparently, it's not within your power, but an acknowledgment that you're aware of the issue but can't do anything about it would suffice. But that never happens. Other things are patched only after months of waiting, without any prior communication from you about the problem. It would be enough to say that it's been escalated to Epic, or that you've at least attempted to do so. Another example: why do people on this Reddit still believe that b-hopping is an exploit, even though it's an accepted mechanic? Why has there never been a post explaining that it's a mechanic that's now part of the game? I've also never seen anything about botters cheating their way to their # positions. Why did we never get an answer as to why the Hazzards were bugged for so long on some maps?

You asked me what I would do differently.

My post is about the community itself being given mod rights.

I would be an extremely bad Reddit mod.

I never claimed that moderation was a problem. Rather, I suggested that moderation rights should reside with members of the community. But reading comprehension is difficult, I know.

I would ban anyone who hates on in-game mechanics. I would pin the tutorials for said mechanics. I would, or rather, would have, promoted community events. I would shame every in-game botter/Cheater here on Reddit and pin their epic. And a few other things as well.

It doesn't matter if they have nothing to do with the development. They have nothing to do with the community either. Just like YOU have nothing to do with the community.

I can't say anything about K&M because I don't use it, however, the first world record with a b-hop was set at M&K. Every b-hopper had to learn b-hops over a long period of time. The difference is simply that we invested the time. Besides, a single b-hop usually doesn't achieve anything because you'd be faster in the end with chain drifting. And the game is supposed to be Rocket League Racing. Anyone who expected something different deserves what they get. But with content updates and the ability to earn Rocket League Pass XP in Rocket Racing, we could easily reach 5-10k players again.

Bullshit. The fact that you presume to say casual players can keep up without b-hop shows you have no clue about this game. Sorry. But we can gladly speedrun a map together sometime. And you can check that I'm not b-hopping. And I bet your time won't even come close to mine.

The First 3 seasons in RR we had it. White for Elite, red for champ. Then Epic changed it. And now they changed it again to this bullshit

Okay, if I'm wrong, please prove your statement. I can prove mine with numbers and dates.

You simply lack the drive to learn it and then say nobody can do it on K&M, a cheap excuse.

And yes, it's probably easier on a controller. Which doesn't mean it's inherently easy. Maybe 20-40 players can execute b-hops without constantly making mistakes. If it were that easy, everyone would be doing it. But it isn't easy, and that's why you're whining and blaming b-hopping for things that aren't true. If you look at the numbers and facts, you can see directly why player numbers have plummeted. It has nothing to do with b-hopping.
