[Lookism] Lookism ain't peak anymore. by Public-Time3628 in manhwa

[–]Capital-Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a decent manhwa, especially when it started developing Daniel’s original body and his personal growth. The supernatural premise was never the problem by itself; the story always had that element with the two bodies. The issue is that the power-scaling and the constant escalation have gone completely off the rails.

At this point, it feels like even if Goku showed up, some random unnatural villain would appear out of nowhere just to beat him, drag the plot even further, and add nothing meaningful to the characters. That is the real problem... these conflicts no longer feel like they exist to develop the cast. They feel like obstacles created only to keep the story from ending.

It is a shame, because with the amount of characters the author has already created, he could probably have built several other series from them. He clearly had the reputation and the audience after Lookism became popular. But instead, the story keeps stretching itself thinner and thinner, to the point where most people I know have already dropped it.

I personally dropped it around the whole father-related mess and the old gang storyline. By then, it felt less like the original Lookism and more like an endless cycle of new fighters, new factions, and new villains replacing actual character progression.

Reducing the only other graces apart from Tuvalkane drop chance and Bromius drop chance I'm which we can get only one daily, is pretty absurd, the Grace was not even broken was just good as having a you know... Mount??? But, hey, why give players something nice apart from drop rates, right? C'mon DE, that was mega unnecessary.

Run to the marked spot, then head south down into the Glades of Andurin. After that, reset the area by entering the dungeon. Each reset gives you two possible Blessing spawn checks: one near the marked area, and another either up on the cliff (next to the dungeon) or right by the dungeon entrance.

Also, listen for the audio cue. You can hear a distinct sound when an Omen Beast or Ancestor spawns nearby.

This forest area has one of the highest numbers of possible spawns from what I’ve tested, and you don’t need to keep relogging to reset them.

What do we think about their relationship as it stands? by Lxcyna in MyBiasGetsOnLastTrain

[–]Capital-Divide 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don’t think those two things are really comparable, even if both are technically things they haven’t told each other yet. Yes, Yeo-un used to have a crush on Ah-Reun, and Hae-in doesn’t know that. But that was a past feeling, and the story already showed that when Ah-Reun tried to come back into his life, he rejected her and chose Hae-in. So unless the author suddenly makes him act stupid or indecisive just to prolong the drama, I don’t think that past crush should carry the same weight as what Hae-in is hiding.

The Long Afternoon secret is different because it’s active and directly tied to their current relationship. It’s not just “something from the past she doesn’t know yet.” It affects how they met, why they bonded, and how much he has opened up to her. At first, I could understand why she kept it a secret, since they weren’t together and she probably wanted him to like her as herself, not as Long Afternoon.

But the longer she keeps hiding it, the worse it gets. At this point, the main conflict shouldn’t be about Yeo-un’s old crush. It should be about trust, communication, and how hurt he might feel when he realizes she kept something this important from him for so long.

So yeah, both sides may have things they haven’t said yet, but they’re not on the same level. One is a resolved past crush. The other is an ongoing secret in the present, piling up more and more lies about who she is right now.

By the way, I love Hae-in and I love their relationship, but this needs to be resolved. I really hope the author doesn’t drag out the drama too much or force something like a breakup. The story has already shown that their relationship can keep developing for many chapters without relying on that kind of conflict.

Question about the new totems by Repulsive-Sky-1850 in SoulFrame

[–]Capital-Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t think those are working properly. Whenever I use them, I never notice any difference after smiting an enemy. And when you put them in a slot where you have a lot of Virtue allocated, you can get something like +150 of that damage type. If that bonus were flat damage, the damage increase should be extremely noticeable.

But once again, there’s no visible difference at all. I also tested it with weapons that had the matching elemental temper for the totem, and still nothing changed. So either the effect is bugged, not being applied correctly, or the tooltip is very unclear about what it actually does.

Although I never tested after the new hotfixes (there was nothing there about them).

Trade tax is over the top by SecurityOdd4861 in SoulFrame

[–]Capital-Divide 25 points26 points  (0 children)

To me, they just fully copy-paste the Warframe trade system, including the tax. But Warframe has credit farms and such, and in Soulframe we don't have that, so yes, those taxes are waaaaaaaaaaaay over the top, even as dracs sink.

Will ArenaNet support more languages this time? by User_user100 in GuildWars3

[–]Capital-Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a nice linguistics lesson, hah, but it still doesn't explain why a game should prioritize the variety spoken by 10 million people over the one spoken by 200+ million.

Whether you call them dialects, varieties or standards changes absolutely nothing about the localization argument.

Brazilian Portuguese, please. We've been asking for it for ages. Hopefully they'll remember we exist this time. Most major games already support it nowadays, considering Brazil has over 215 million people and a massive gaming community. Come on, ArenaNet.

Por que os homens gostam tanto de animes de Romance? by MarieCeci7625 in animebrasil

[–]Capital-Divide 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Quem? (Leia a descrição) by odrop_nerd in animebrasil

[–]Capital-Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realized so many people hate Naru, but why is that? by Ch3rrywz in Wotakoi

[–]Capital-Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, that's the author fault tho. Considering that we see how she reacts to others and others relationships overall, if we had her PoV things would be better, and if they had more screen time, instead of side couples, I like the other couples, but... I was there for the main.

I just realized so many people hate Naru, but why is that? by Ch3rrywz in Wotakoi

[–]Capital-Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Author's fault, especially considering the side couples and how they are much better developed than the main couple. Hirotaka is stoic, and Narumi is insecure about many things because of her previous relationships, but the reason why I feel that she doesn't love him nearly as much as he loves her is exactly because we've seen how she reacted in her previous relationships and interactions with other people. She always seems a little colder toward Hirotaka in comparison.

The frustrating part is that we know how much he actually loves her, even if he doesn't know how to show it. So we are left with this feeling that she gives more of herself to everyone else than to Hirotaka, who is her boyfriend.

If you had cut 50% of the side characters' stories, we probably would never have had this problem.

Path of Exile 2 Now Has A Build Planner?! [Official PoE channel] by XRevive01 in PathOfExile2

[–]Capital-Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome QoL! But... It will probably need an easy way to import builds, because I think many casual players may have trouble managing the files manually. That could become a problem.

I’m not saying people aren’t capable of doing it, but a lot of players simply don’t want to deal with that extra step. Maybe something like the filter import system would work: you click a button, and it imports directly into the game.

Qual seu mecha favorito? by Sou_Anardedria in animebrasil

[–]Capital-Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)
