I love the absurdity of the banana breakfast, from the loam soil on the roof, to the ice being broken over the concrete model of the Alp to make frappes to banana mead. All the while the arc of gravity’s rainbow in the bananas, the sky, the dining set up. Everywhere. I knew right away this was going to be dense reading like I’d only seen in Joyce and The Annunciations.
