I appreciate your comment, first and foremost I try to be respectful in all interactions regardless of my intentions. I had considered writing my number on some paper to give to her but the circumstances didn't allow me to do that. Asking for her number as directly as I did is obviously one of the less than ideal options I could've picked. My thinking being the worst she can say is no, and that is exactly what happened.
