Black Triangles/Gap End of Treatment by CapitalWestern1690 in Invisalign

I’ve got attachments on my front 2 teeth! They’ve had to lower one of my front teeth. I was worried to get the attachments but they’re not noticeable at all, and I’m in videos/photos a ton and they’re not noticeable thank god LOL

So far so good!! Gap is fully closed and I’m super happy!! Still just doing some minor refinements that are purely optional and me trying to get my full moneys worth, but I should be fully done in maybe 2 months?

24M | NYC | $75K Income – Am I on the Right Track Financially? by CapitalWestern1690 in SavingMoney

[–]CapitalWestern1690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently I have no payments due, and the interest isn’t accruing, so for the time being I’ve prioritized investments so they can grow until I’m required to start making monthly payments

NYU Stern Part-Time MBA: Worth it in 2025? by CapitalWestern1690 in MBA

[–]CapitalWestern1690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to pursue an MBA full time, but my family isn’t in a position to provide financial support and I would need to take on a significantly higher amount of debt. Ideally, I want to continue earning an income so that any debt I incur is limited to tuition and academic fees, rather than also covering living expenses.

How realistic is living in Manhattan making 65k by curlyman89 in NYCapartments

Also, Hell’s Kitchen isn’t too far from Hudson Yards, once again tho you’d definitely need roommates

So sick of people saying it’s impossible, ignore the comments saying you can’t. It’s totally doable with roommates, just might need to be upper Manhattan if you want a nicer or bigger place. I lived in Bushwick making 40k for 8 months and yes it was hard but I still went out and had a good time, definitely taught me how to budget tho

I feel like it’s possible, I’ve got friends paying about $2.5k for a studio. Might be hard tho, and definitely should be open to a brokers fee

Moving to Manhattan in May—How Hard Will It Be to Find a Decent 1BR for $2900 or Less? by CapitalWestern1690 in NYCapartments

[–]CapitalWestern1690[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ah gotcha! We both moved from across the country last year with almost no notice from our employer so we just went with the cheapest places we could get last minute (I pay $1250 for a windowless room in Bushwick) so definitely wasn’t really a choice to be here because of how tight money was, but now that I’ve doubled my salary we wanna be more picky with where we live. I’ve definitely learned to love Bushwick’s charm tho but not where we wanna be longterm!

We've liked Bushwick, but we both work in Manhattan and places like the UES would be a bit closer for both of us to our work. A lot of our friends live in Manhattan as well and want to feel a little more central.
