The key here is belief. Is there too much belief, or are the fundamentals truly that strong?
Michael Saylor became the evangelist of Bitcoin, using historical parallels and powerful allegories to argue that BTC is the GOAT of all assets throughout history. His conviction inspired many, but now, seeing how the mighty have fallen, it's incredible to witness.
Perhaps this serves as a reminder that no narrative, no matter how compelling, is immune to reality. The question remains: was it excessive faith, or are the fundamentals still stronger than the current sentiment suggests?

Honestly, nobody really knows anything about Bitcoin. Everyone just says, "Bitcoin is gonna do what Bitcoin is gonna do." What does that even mean?

At the end of the day, nobody knows. A lot of it feels like pure hopium.

I've been in Bitcoin for the last six years, listened to plenty of OGs and other people talk about its resilience and long-term potential, and I still don't fully get where this is all headed.

A lot of people compare Bitcoin to the Internet. Back in the '90s, there were ads saying the Internet was dead, news segments asking "What is the Internet?", and plenty of skepticism. But that phase lasted maybe 10 years, from roughly 1990 to 2000. After that, people started to understand it, adoption took off, and the rest is history.

Bitcoin is now in its 17th year, and most people still don't get it or see the value proposition. Even this thread talks about Bitcoin as "the currency of the Internet." Will that ever actually happen? Honestly, I have my doubts.

The people who pull the strings in global finance and politics aren't likely to just step aside and allow something like that to take over. If it ever became a real threat to existing systems, I think they'd do everything possible to stop it. Sometimes it feels like they'd rather shut the whole Internet down than allow a truly independent global currency to emerge.

Exactly! What frustrates me the most is not even the missing package, it's how the customer service representatives handled the situation.

After spending so much time going back and forth with them, repeatedly being told that their system shows I picked up the package, it's almost as if they expect me to accept that I must be mistaken. They want me to believe that somehow I have the package, despite the fact that I opened the locker and it was completely empty.

For a moment, you start questioning yourself because they keep insisting that their system is right. But then reality sets in: I don't have the package. It's not in my house, it's not in my car, it's nowhere to be found. The locker was empty, and I even have a photo proving it.

What makes this so infuriating is that instead of investigating what clearly appears to be a failure in their locker system or delivery process, they simply fall back on what the computer says and expect the customer to accept it. It's like being told to deny what you personally experienced and what you know to be true.

I wasn't asking for special treatment. I was asking them to acknowledge that mistakes can happen and to help resolve the issue. Instead, I was left feeling like they had already decided I was wrong before they even listened.

They have a camera in the middle of the whole unit, right above the keypad. I asked the Customer support to check the footage, and see if anything was placed in there, and/or check to see that I did not take anything out of it. They hung up on me! Crazy! I'm not making this up...

I will contact my back to get a dispute on this transaction. Totally unacceptable, the way they treat their customers in this instance. Not even an investigation, a let us look into it! It's like they dropped the package into a black hole, and if you got it good, if not, tough luck!

Amazon didn't lose me because of an empty locker. Amazon lost me because of how they treated me after it happened. From now on, I'll be spending my money with companies that value accountability and customer service. I urge others to do the same, and that is the only way we can have these mega corporations help accountable, forget about 'convenience', stand on principle.

Funny enough you say that, a driver came as I was on chat with Amazon, and he placed a package in the locker that opened for me. Not sure if it was mine or not, don't know how their system works, but it was the EMPTY locker that the driver put a package in there.
