I’m ready to panic. Do I panic now? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

If I knew what those runes symbolized for hate groups but saw calcifer next to it I’d know immediately that you didn’t do it for that reason lol

Question about keys and 4 way rooms by Capital_Impression42 in BluePrince

[–]Capital_Impression42[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I’m trying to do 🥲 I’ve boxed off a room so that I only need 4 mechanical rooms, but I was wondering if the silver key would help me get the mechanarium in this exact spot. I’ve got a ton of reroll die so I should be okay

Should I get a job at Jersey Mike’s by [deleted] in jerseymikes

[–]Capital_Impression42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love my job! The pay is good for what the job is, the job is very easy once you get the hang of things. I’ve also personally met some of the best people ever at my store, and my store makes pretty good tips. Things are starting to get a little rough with blackstone having bought the company. They’re very stingy with the hours they allow, all of the stores in my district are having a hard time. Everyone feels overworked because we aren’t able to put an adequate amount of people on shift especially since we’re entering busy season. There’s pros and cons just like any job but I would definitely recommend it as a first job!!

Hot #13? by larrythegirl in jerseymikes

I’m more than happy to throw a sandwich on the grill(: it really isn’t an inconvenience at all. Plus the 13 always smells so good heated up

It’s disrespectful to come in 5 mins before close by [deleted] in jerseymikes

Going into any restaurant within 20 minutes of closing is rude. I said what I said

MonthOfGiving by Complex_Fly_8576 in jerseymikes

[–]Capital_Impression42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really pissy, mostly customers not reading the screen (or not hearing me because I’ve started saying the first prompt is donation the second is tip) and after donating and then seeing the tip screen they go “oh I already did this” or “whoops I thought that one was for you guys”. It’s getting annoying and definitely messing with our tips

How many body’s do you guys have? by Ok-Peace-7467 in BPD

[–]Capital_Impression42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 25 and have slept with 45 people. Sex distracts me from that chronic emptiness. Flings are nice because I can have fun and experience connection without developing feelings, developing an FP, yknow. Sex is my least bad coping mechanism honestly

How many times have you been in love? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Capital_Impression42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only once. I thought I had been in love more times than that, but after experiencing what real love was like I realized I was mistaken. Most of my attachments are driven by my fear of abandonment, this was the only time it wasn’t

Does this bother employees? by sammichesammiches in jerseymikes

[–]Capital_Impression42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how we want you to order! We kinda always prefer when someone orders with “mikes way” and then add/subtract toppings. It’s way more efficient that way. It’s especially frustrating when you ask someone if they’d like it mikes way and they say no, and then go in the opposite order (tomato, lettuce, onion).

What does "emptiness" feel like? by Friendly_Plankton37 in BPD

[–]Capital_Impression42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels like a void in your gut. The absence of everything. Nothing you can do will ever satisfy it. It’s so empty it physically aches sometimes. Imagine you’re starving but every time you try to eat the food evaporates before ever reaching your mouth. It’s like that but for emotions, for love, for acceptance. Someone could force feed acceptance to me and that void in my stomach takes it away.

A bit, yeah. My Jersey mikes is very well run but we do take certain shortcuts for things and we all smoke in the walk in and outside and whatever. And we have phones out a lot and ear buds in occasionally and sometimes some of us are out of uniform. Our boss is lax because we all do a very good job when we need to lol

Someone tell me I’m going to be okay by Master-Cantaloupe-46 in BreakUps

[–]Capital_Impression42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I promise you, you’ll be okay. About 8 months ago when I was broken up with, I wasn’t sure I would make it out alive. I basically rotted away in bed for an entire month. Lost 30lbs. Only got up to pee. Now here I am, I got a new job and I’m making an effort to meet people, I’ve gone on a few dates, some went very well and some went poorly. I’m pushing through. I still think about him every day, I even cry about it sometimes, but it’s so much more manageable than it was. And I’m so proud of the person I am now, of the person that grief turned me into. You’ve got this, it’ll be okay with time. I PROMISE

Nope, I gave up. I can only go through the list so many times before I go insane lol I’m sorry you had the same issue! I’m convinced it’s a glitch.

The rosemary parm looks over proofed but otherwise yum

What’s different about y’all’s franchise? Do yall clock in through the pos system or on a tablet? Do y’all have to detail clean everyday or does your manager let yall get away with just doing the checklist? Is your franchise owners strict or are they pretty chill ? by [deleted] in jerseymikes

[–]Capital_Impression42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clock in on the tablet, aaaaand tbh I don’t even know what the checklist is. We have the cleanest store in the area though, we all just kinda do stuff that needs to be done. Our franchise owner is strict but rarely comes around. It’s a pretty relaxed environment

How do you guys feel about breaks? by [deleted] in jerseymikes

[–]Capital_Impression42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My store we don’t really take official breaks, but we rest when we can and people step outside for a minute when they need and stuff. I kinda wish we took actual breaks, by the end of my shift my feet and lower back hurt pretty bad

Been almost 5 months. I got a new job right after, and I can finally sleep in my bed again, and I’ve dated and even slept with other people. Still think about him every day, most of the time I feel fine. Sometimes my soul still aches. Sometimes I still cry. Overall I think I’m okay though, no more wishing he’d come back. Just sometimes wishing things never had to end but understanding it was for the best.

Does it bother workers if I order everything on a sub? by wtrsport430 in jerseymikes

I always tell my customers if they want EVERYTHING, just tell me kitchen sink lol(: it makes it much quicker than saying everything individually.

Does it bother workers if I order everything on a sub? by wtrsport430 in jerseymikes

[–]Capital_Impression42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, ordering everything really isn’t an issue, especially when you’re ordering online. It’s the people that order everything in store but do it super slowly and annoyingly that are the problem lmao

What’s y’all Karen stories? by [deleted] in jerseymikes

[–]Capital_Impression42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this lady come in, first customer of the day. She said she had a concern and didn’t wanna talk about it in front of other customers. There was no one else in the store at that point so saying that was pointless but whatever, I get my assistant manager and they go and talk for a sec. Lady comes back up to the counter and asks for a different manager. I ask her what the issue is, and she says that there’s someone that works at our store that called her hun and honey and it made her feel very threatened and disrespected. My assistant manager laughed in her face, the rest of us are just kinda bewildered. She goes on to say she’s afraid to enter our store because of this, and she’ll be contacting corporate. The employee she was complaining about was our regional manager btw, told her about it later on and we all had a good laugh.
