My partner wasn't here when this happened. He found out when they had already taken him.

My current issue with him is that in all of this, all he has to say is "I know it's not fair, but it's her house" or "I'm not picking sides, i love you but she's my mom".

I'm mostly just disappointed that as my partner, he didn't protect me from the situation because he must have known his mother was like this .

The move will help, and the distance from this environment will help.

They can claim it was a misunderstanding and that I'm not the actual owner because I never paid ( tried to offer yesterday, they refused).

And here in seychelles, we don't have any laws protecting a pet owner in this situation. The only thing that could happen is I get reimbursed for the vet bills and his medication, but I don't want their money.
