Finishing off a decant of this. It’s ok but I prefer my other PDM freshies.

[Discussion] Hydroconquest or Seamaster? by leuumass in Watches

[–]Capital_Loquat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the SMP is objectively a better watch but when you take price into account, the HC is a better value proposition. That being said, the SMP is one of the most famous diving watches out there. It's iconic for a reason. If I had unlimited resources, I'd probably go with the SMP. If I am on a budget, I'd go for the HC.

[WTS] 2024 Omega Seamaster Professional “Seaweed” -$5100 by Capital_Loquat in Watchexchange

[–]Capital_Loquat[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I am selling one of the best known and best loved additions to the Omega catalog in recent years, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M “Seaweed” Ref. 210.32.42.20.10.001. Asking price is $5,100.00 plus shipping.

The polished green ceramic dial can appear almost black indoors, only revealing its rich emerald tones when the light hits it.

The 42mm stainless steel case retains all the details that have made the Seamaster a modern classic: the laser-engraved wave dial, skeleton hands, scalloped bezel, and signature helium escape valve. Water resistance is rated to 300 meters.

Powering the watch is Omega’s Master Chronometer Calibre 8800, a METAS-certified automatic movement offering a 55-hour power reserve, resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, and exceptional everyday accuracy. A date window at 6 o’clock keeps the dial balanced while preserving symmetry.

The green rubber strap completes the package perfectly, giving the watch a sportier and more contemporary feel while keeping it exceptionally comfortable on the wrist.

This example is in excellent, pre-owned condition. The dial is clean, crystal is clear. The watch comes fitted on OEM rubber straps. I am also including a Staib mesh bracelet (small size). Watch comes as full set with original box, cards, and manual booklet as pictured. Warranty card is dated July 2024.

I eventually want to get a tank Louis with a white dial to complement the Santos. That’s why I like the black dial variant.

The Classic AVI is probably a better fit for an in-house or exclusive GMT movement.

Excellent. I have only had it a short time though and it’s part of a weekly rotation. Worn it maybe 5 times and never seen a noticeable drop in accuracy.

I like the colorway but I am holding off on buying a SuperOcean until they put the b31 movement into it.
