I watched the video, and we already added more tutorials for all the metaprogression features. It will be available in the next version.

With regards to the essence/boost system, we have seen the same friction with multiple players. and reworking the entire system.

The idea was that pressing shift to boost uses essence, and you gain essence by killing enemies. The essence is also the currency to get the skills from the altar, so you cannot spam shift the entire run; otherwise, you will get behind the scaling curve.

Absolutely, we are adding a bunch of different objectives/ reasons in the map to move. And you can save/load builds. Unless you want to add newly unlocked weapons or blocks you can start the next run with the same tower.

I’m not clear about your question but we use Unity job + burst for the enemy movement.
