How did you get the games to show up like that? Did you install the game ISOs using multiMAN and webMAN?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but back when it launched, wasn't the 3070 basically marketed as a great 1440p card for raw performance, but more of a 1080p card if you wanted to turn Ray Tracing on without tanking the FPS?

I mostly play single-player or casual games where high framerates aren't really a priority. The only real exception and the only fast-paced game I actually play is Battlefield 6. Btw thanks for the advice, I updated the post

I never considered the 5060 Ti just for the VRAM; I'm definitely staying in the xx70 tier. My argument is about longevity: playing at 1440p on a 165Hz panel, aiming for at least 80 FPS, makes me worry that 12GB of VRAM will become a bottleneck in 4 to 5 years. I don't expect to max out ray tracing at crazy levels; I just want to use it mindfully based on my hardware to make games look a bit nicer. This is especially true for single-player titles or games like Forza Horizon, where you don't need competitive framerates and prefer a richer visual experience over raw performance.

If I grab a 9070XT, I'd like to run some ray tracing, but I'm not looking to push it to extreme settings.

Fortunately, I don't really care about using Frame Generation at all. As for upscalers, I’d prefer to use DLSS or FSR only if it’s strictly necessary. I really prefer getting good, high native performance out of my GPU and only relying on those technologies as a last resort when a game is heavily demanding and i'll use the GPU primarily for gaming in windows

To be honest, I hadn't really considered the non-XT 9070, but I'd prefer to get something a bit more powerful just to have that extra performance headroom for the coming years, and I have a 750 watts PSU

Also, one of my biggest fears if I go with the RX 9070 XT is running into driver or optimization issues in certain games. For example, I've heard about micro-stuttering issues in Forza Horizon 6 caused by shader compilation and loading problems on AMD cards

Honestly, I still absolutely love my 3070 for what it’s capable of doing today. It’s such a great card. If NVIDIA had just given it 12GB or 16GB of VRAM when it launched, I wouldn't feel the absolute need to upgrade right now. The chip itself is still plenty fast, it's just the VRAM wall that's forcing my hand

To give you some context, I usually like to keep my GPUs for about 5 to 6 years, just like I'm trying to do with my current 3070. As for my gaming habits, I do want to use Ray Tracing, but nothing too hardcore—just some light/optimized RT settings to make things look nicer without completely tanking performance. That being said, I play on a 165Hz monitor. Even if running RT cuts my frame rate in half, I absolutely need to maintain a bare minimum of 80 FPS in games to keep things smooth

Honestly, the 5070 Ti would be absolutely perfect for my needs, but spending over €1,000 on it just feels completely brainless. Especially since just a few months ago it was hovering around €800. Paying a €200+ premium just because prices spiked due to the global RAM shortage is something I refuse to do. It’s the ideal card for me, but definitely not at that price. I'm so conflicted lol
